Fantastic stuff from Keeley:

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/glenn-keeley-this-would-beggar-belief--if-the-same-thing-didnt-keep-happening-over-and-over-at-blackburn-8541363.html

Remember that day? We took 30,000 to Wembley. I told my wife it could be my only chance to see Rovers at Wembley as I set off leaving her heavily pregnant and with a two year old in full "terrible twos" tantrum mode! I survived to raise three Rovers. She did say "Yes."

Keeley and Garner are amongst our strongest supporters.

I've signed up.

Though I certainly see Rev's point, it is also the case of who will be paying the bills when/if we are floundering in League 1?

From the Bhatti's at Wolves, to Archer at Brighton, to Swansea's near relegation to non league, football is littered with such tales.

There is every chance of Venky's cutting and running if things continue to nosedive, a rescue bid from a local consortium with a supporters stake being tabled at some point could become a reality.

A return Just for you Stuart!

Having attended the initial Trust meetings and pledged at the time, I then formed an opinion that although their intentions were admirable, outright ownership of The Club and the ability to fund it on an ongoing basis was nothing more than a pipe dream.

A view I still hold.

Encouragingly, it would appear that Seneca would not be averse to a joint venture either.

Is that Seneca in Newton Le Willows?

Haydock I believe.

Yes, the same one. If we go by their latest set of results, Probiz looks a much safer bet. Negative net worth business, perhaps there are mitigating circumstances and I'd need to see the whole set of numbers, but it's not the type of business you would look to partner. They have a decent low-risk score but for anything approaching funding for a takeover, they'd need serious injections of cash. They'd get a mobile phone contract but not much more. (at first glance - this is my view based on current results posted on the relevant credit agency sites)

I'd be inclined to agree with you Sparky looking at the figures in isolation. I think looking at the line of business that they are active in could perhaps give a clue from where the cash would come from but who knows.

Has there been any talks between the Trust and Seneca,

About the possibility of working together should the need arise?

One could probably suspect so informally, cue a statement from either party.....................

Possibly some time ago when both were perhaps jockeying for position so to speak and perhaps ended somewhat unamicably at the time. Only conjecture of course. Times may be different and a great heeler, who knows.

It would surely be in all our best interests to make a collective, concerted effort now.

I would agree with this entirely. I'd be happy with a Keeley/Faz backline (and backbone) right now.

Glenn is a big supporter of the Rovers Trust as he articulates in the article and we could do with a few more of his colleagues coming out in support of the supporters.

It's one thing to criticise the owners or whoever happens to be our coach, as people like Savage and Gallagher, et al do, but they could take it a significant step further and nail their colours firmly to the Rovers Trust mast. It would be a big help.

I'm in full support of the trust concept, although I don't see how it can really ever achieve too much. My one fear, which in some respects came to fruition the other day, is that it can be used as a mouthpiece for individuals who aren't necessarily representing the trust, the club or the fans when they decide to make a public statement. If the trust is to be promoted as a representation of the supporters, then the public statements need to be reflective of the views of the majority.

Have the Trust asked them and others? Worth a thought. Duggie? Salgado? Dunny(maybe in May!)

Steady, that's a bit harsh.

He's got a living to make and may feel he can't publicly back the RoversTrust.

I don't know what that would mean to either the media outlets he works for or to the club and whether it would affect future work.

There is nothing to stop Kevin and other ex-players joining the Trust the same as anyone else.

We do not reveal details of any member unless they give us permission and even then there would need to be a PR value in that such as Garner and Keeley taking to the media about stuff.
