trueblueroversiloveu Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Does anybody know whether the club will open 1 Stand or something for the game on the big telly?

Plastics Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 When was the last time that happened? I remember Marcolini scoring against United on the big screen. Cruyff pulled up with a hamstring injury when through on goal in that game too.
Blackburn Ravers Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 i remember Portsmouth away in the cup when Wilcox scored when the ball came off his arm,

trueblueroversiloveu Posted November 21, 2012 Author Posted November 21, 2012 Can't believe its not on sky tbh but was hoping the club would try to organise something.
rog of the rovers Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Was speaking to a mate of mine (who is a Dingle) and he shared the same thoughts as myself. The (over) policing has killed the thrill of the day. I went in 2000 and again in 2005 but didn't go to the 2008 match and not going this time.
Rishton blue Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Just get a ticket! I really don't understand this attitude to not going to the game.

rog of the rovers Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 It didn't kill it last time for me. I suppose as long as we keep winning/unbeaten then the fact you have to remain behind for a hour or so isn't too bad. Dread to think, but if Burnley beat us then I would imagine they will hang around outside and force the police to keep the Rovers fans even longer!

Hughesy Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Just get a ticket! I really don't understand this attitude to not going to the game. Agreed - 10am set off for a 12.45 start isnt too bad, and also this time they have allowed pub coaches. Beer in the ground too - what more do you want?

Rather that than an increase in the likelihood of trouble.
Paul Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 what more do you want? To: Not expect my son to hang around for two hours before KO Not sit in a cold stand for two hours before KO Not be locked in after the game Be treated with some respect Drive my car to the area Arrive when I want Leave when I want Overall I understand the reasons for the security but I'm not prepared to be herded around and sat in the cold and damp for hours.
SAS Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Can't be as bad as last time sat on darwen end car park for over an hour after departure time...
rog of the rovers Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Its a shame as I went to Bolton last year (and game aside) it was a cracking day out. Met up with bobsterbrfc before the match, parked in a decent spot, was there in no time, straight onto motorway and was home by 5.25pm! We also went for a Nando's (which was full of both Rovers and Wanderers fans), mingled with a few fans (of both teams) around the ground and even had a bit of a sunbathe before the game! Compare that to the meet at Ewood, find your bus, then be police escorted across the M65, straight to the ground, straight into the ground, kept behind after the game for an hour and then bused straight back to Ewood, to then have to make your own way home. Burnley - ticket and bus £36.50. Bolton - ticket £15. Amazing to think that two local games can be so different!
ABBEY Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Just get a ticket! I really don't understand this attitude to not going to the game. SPOT ON!!!! GET A TICKET YOU SOFT GITS!!!!!!!!
bob fleming Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Burnley - ticket and bus £36.50. Bolton - ticket £15. Amazing to think that two local games can be so different! Yes but in all fairness the trip t'turf does involve time travel.
3rdpillar Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Get a ticket, attend the game, enjoy. Or shut TF Up IMMEDIATELY. If however you the club won't sell you one as you do not have a season ticket get ANGRY with the club and get a protest group together to demonstrate outside Ewood instead ( as it is not on telly either ).....
OJRovers Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Beer in the ground too - what more do you want? Beer in the ground? I thought there wasn't being served any this season after the squeeze underneath last time?
Plastics Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Let's not have protest groups being the only answer to everything.
3rdpillar Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Can't believe someone bit on that one ...........LOL
AndyNeil Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Does anybody know whether the club will open 1 Stand or something for the game on the big telly? Why would they when they haven't sold all the tickets? As for people who aren't STH's moaning about not being able to get a ticket, you haven't been able to get them (through official channels) for previous matches when not a STH so why would this match be any different?
Plastics Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Can't believe someone bit on that one ...........LOL Haha, well you just never can tell sometimes. New to the board.
Waggy76 Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 You should have been on the Long Side in 77, 78 and 82 if you think that was exhilarating We lost in 78 , but other 2 were good especially 82 ! Only one Simon Garner !
