It doesn't matter because you can't bin him yet anyway.

I can't really see things improving though since he has no room to manoeuvre in terms of budget. Also, it's very strange he hasn't brought his own men in, that selections seem to take no account of form or motivation, and substitutions are as haphazard as Kean's were.

He was a gamble which I think won't pay off and Venky's will find that financially discomfiting. What they do in January about giving him a transfer budget (and if he gets one, does he get to pick who signs?) god only knows. What will they do in the summer when we've missed out on promotion?

Fiddle while Ewood burns, no doubt.

Berg wouldn't have been my choice.

I honestly wish that he had opened-up with 7 wins on the bounce.

Unfortunately, he hasn't, he's struggling, the club is struggling and it is no good hiding from that fact.

To me as a supporter, it's also very, very frustrating that other managerial options who it is speculated were on the list, are doing it elsewhere in the Championship. Weeks ago, I posted to the effect that I thought Holloway would crawl to Blackburn over broken glass because that was the type of speculation coming out of Blackpool. If speculation is correct, Shaw wanted him, Shebby didn't - well if we aren't careful, internal politics could finish our club sooner rather than later in my view.

I would have rather had Holloway and most would have but instead for whatever reason we went for Berg and as we did I feel the fans have to back him and give him more than a month before jumping on him

I see it differently to most as I don't mind this league too much and would rather we could build for a season then go up next season but feel it could be impossible financially and on a football level

Well you can feck off then.

Cold, dark, damp days at The Shay, the same at Tanmere on a Friday night, snowy trips to Chesterfied etc - all when Rovers struggling near bottom of old Third Division.

When you see your club being, IMO, destroyed inside 2 mad seasons after 50ish years of support, you are bound to feel real anger.

Kean me its not keaning bergs fault !!! It's keaning venkys . I know they appointed him but Ffs he's got to polish a turd

No one should feel uncomfortable with the facts.

The facts are simply that Berg is not delivering.

Keep burying your head in the sand !

It's nothing to do with burying my head. I know the team haven't been performing

But it's very easy to bitch and moan. I prefer to do what I can to help him.

It's not much but I will cheer on the team and manager for as long as he is here.

Hurrying to the computer to add up your stats to back your argument isn't something I'll support; not whilst that argument is to the detriment of Blackburn Rovers.

We didn't get any of YOUR managers. We were probably never going to, so get over yourself. Sharpish.

You seem like you are happy to be proved right FFS.

That's the key point - I think we are drinking in the last chance saloon and in those circumstances, you want to to give yourself the best possible chance. IMO, a guy like Berg who hasn't managed before in this country and who has an indifferent record in his own country, is a big gamble.

If either Kean or Black had delivered just 6 points from the lasy 7 games, this MB would be in meltdown.

You couldn't be more wrong.

Please see my earlier post where I said that I would have been delighted in Berg had started with 7 consecutive wins and blown everyone else out of the water.

Ours is a far happier household when Rovers are winning and doing well !

Sam Allardyce would win the league with this squad. Because he's a good manager.

Kean managed to get them into the automatic positions and deliver our best start to a season in a long time.

Eric Black managed to pick up enough points to keep us in the top six.

I want Berg to succeed more than those three, but he's not showing us that he's capable of doing so.

I have to say after that performance and seeing both goals on ssn we send Robbo to mess up WHU, Fulham or W.Brom as yet again he gets beat at his near post!

yes I agree today he made some good saves but that goal he really should have got across.

I just hope we can get Brad back in Jan.we desperately need him.

I also believe we now need to bite the bullet and bring back Givet for the Cardiff game I agree Dann had a good game today and it would be hard to drop him apart from their goal he sounded like he had a good game but I think we need experience in there I also believe in Jan we need reinforcements in to give us any chance of promotion.

Just back from the hovel. Gutted to concede a last minute goal BUT thats what we do, we have now lost so many winning positions and this is what is going to cost us dearly in the long run.

Watching from my position in the dingle end, the Rovers fans were loud and proud. Watching you lot celebrate the goal was class and I only wish you had done a poznan because it would have been mightily impressive. To concede that goal killed me and I had the unfortunate experience of a dingle trying to celebrate with me.

Not sure why Rovers cannot see out a game they had wrapped up. These results are going to ensure we stay in the Championship for another season.

Other than that just happy we didnt get beat and BTW who the KEAN is Charlie Austin ????

Can't agree with you about kean and our early season form. We used up a season's worth of luck in those games.

Not a Robbo fan but that today wasn't his near post was it?

Bunn just let a really weak goal in after nearly diving beyond a ball earlier

Football is a results business. Dont get them and youre gone. (err except if your name is kean)

Exactly the same in any other business.

Sounds cruel but what other outcomes are;

Keep a manager who is failling so you fail like at his former club.

Hope he turns it around but may have to wait till next year and incur more debt.

Sack get rid... Start over again or sign up a proven winner .(apart from the sacking bit they had the chance to do that, what makes you think they would get it right next time )

In the big picture the result and performance wasn't good enough! Berg is not the man for the job I said this when he was appointed he doesn't have the experience to do what is expected of him

Yeah....... hesfromburn for manager!!!!!! Bring it on Shebby..... you know it makes sense.

Results business. I'm not saying Kean is necessarily a better manager than Berg, but, it highlights just how badly Berg has started.

No it doesn't Batman, it highlights just how much damage was done selling every one of our Premier class players. Kean, Black and Berg have all struggled with this squad.

The game's about players. A manager's influence at a club, is probably 90% down to the players he signs. Really top managers might get a tad more out of a poor squad than others do, but there's a limit to what they can do without the better players. There are too many fans who overestimate a managers tactical influence on a game.

All the best managers have all the best players. Kean didn't relegate us because he was a poor coach, or a poor manager, but because he sold top players and oversaw the recruitment of crap replacements. We still have no idea whether Berg can cut the mustard, but he's currently got no options with his selections.

A bit better. Only for some good saves by Robbo we would have been sunk before half time.

It's the lack of motivation that worries me. How can you not be up for such a huge game?

Why should they be? All the players with grit, determination and basic balls were either got rid of by Kean or left of their own accord. The guys that would go toe to toe with Kean and Anderson are the guys that would have been up for it today. We'd have murdered Burnley with samba, Nelsen and N'Zonzi in the ranks not to mention Salgado, the two Jones's and EHD. Sad to say but an East Lancs derby day means little to our assorted ranks of offcumdens, has beens, never will be's and Carlos Kickaballs.

Terrible first half, better second, especially when King came on for Pedersen.

Hanley and Dann where solid, especially the latter. Formica good second half. Both full backs dissapointing for me.

Draw more than fair result, could have been much worse after the first half performance.

Fans brilliant.

Going to take this team a long time to get over Kean and the terrible coaching they have had for two years. Changes required on the training pitch, new regime and all that.

Often overlooked is the amount of true leaders the club have lost in the Anderson/Kean/Venkys reign - don't really have a captain in the squad, says it all.

Your theories would be fine but have you noticed Mick McCarthy in a couple of weeks has got the crappest side in the league out of the relegation places with a better sequence of results than Berg has managed?

If they're out of the relegation places then they're not the "crappest side in the league" are they?

Not gonna turn on berg at all for a LONG time yet but points so far have been awful from his games in charge. The argument about kean acquiring more points than berg cannot be argued regardless of how we played. Can't see more than 4 points in next 4 either. Just hope berg is given time. Anything other than backing him 100% will achieve absolutely nothing. This season isn't about promotion we aren't ready. The club is in a mess and its not going to be sorted fast.

There's one thing I don't get in this game...

We are winning 1-0, had been threatened before and the only substitution he made after the goal was Vukcevic for Formica?

What aboud using Givet to replace CKR, put Givet as LB and move Martin Olsson to LM?

It would certainly give us a more defensive side to hold on to the advantage
