Why even have it then? It's clearly designed to make people think they have to complete the form to continue - and the poster above has done just that.

It's the sort of cheap tactic you would associate with rip-off merchants and spam sites.

yea, got to admit that is an old trick that does still catch out those that aren't so pc/internet savy.

Long may the charity / community stuff continue as I see that (personally) as the future of the group, almost a voluntary replacement for the community trust

I just wanted to highlight and apologise for this comment

I believed (incorrectly) that the owners of the club bad ceased funding for and dissolved the community trust. After looking it up I have noticed that this isn't actually the case and the way I worded that is insensitive at best and sounds downright disrespectful to a body that has done so much for the community.

I have nothing but admiration for the BRFC community trust and having met with people from there in the past at fans forum meetings have been aware of some of the fantastic work they have done in Blackburn and the surrounding area

I hope the owners of the club continue to back the community trust for the long term whilt BRFCAG continue to focus on community events of their own

Again apologies for that

I'm sure you previously posted about it Phil. I'll go back and have a look when I can be bothered.

100% back you up Ricky, Phillip stated it as fact and caused quite a fuss before it was revealed that the info was incorrect. By all means Phillip use the search facility to disprove it.

No they are a good bunch and do some sterling work, and in fact we rent the office off them.

An issue I have is that roughly 12% of brag members (using your own figures of 1000/8000 or so) actually complained about mckinlay. So the group put out a statement which, according to their own logic, went against the majority opinion.

Which goes against the logic of having a democratic group. Though I admit it was a significant sample, which I have no problem with, the group used the logic that it would cater for the majority of it's members.

You can't have it both ways, even if I am being pedantic :P

Tom the financial issue at BRCT is directly linked to relegation. The BRCT funding came primarily from the Premier League. There may well be other income streams, including the club, but it is the reduced / non existent PL funding which has created the financial problems for the Community Trust.

I've no idea if the club funds BRCT now or in the past. I thought, but could well be wrong, BRCT rented its premises from the club.

You think that the 88% who didn't say anything were Billy MacKinlay supporters then?!!!

It's up to Brag to assess the feelings of their members and its up to their members to complain if they got it wrong.

Is there any evidence of this or do you think you have the right to tell an organisation what to do when you (presumably) are not a member?

I don't want to go over it again as I got sledged last time, but how many of those who contacted Brag also referred to Sherwood as you'll recall he was also named on the press release. That was the one part of that press release that always confirmed me.

Just to clarify the BRFCAG Have a democratically elected committee.

The reason people elect a committee is to allow them to make decisions on their behalf.

If a decision is made which members are not happy with, im sure they will be the first to contact the groups committee. RE The McKinlay statement we had plenty contacting us regarding his possible appointment and put a statement out.

We have not had one member contact us regarding that statement so despite one or two complaints on this particular forum board from NON Members , Our members never made one.

Large decisions, for e.g asking members to put their weight behind a takeover of the club from supporters must be done by ballot.

Any member at anytime can ask for anything to be added to the agenda for an AGM Prior to any AGM Taking place.

All things for discussion at the AGM will see members notified prior to such meeting being called.

No date has yet been set for the AGM for 2013. However this must be called before August 2013 which is the anniversary of the groups official membership launch
