Ricky Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 And as an aside abs, you're a prime example of someone who can't stand to see anything negative being said about Brag at all. You're straight on the defensive. Seems to be a major issue that there is a divide between the different sides. Said it before, Brag have done some very very good things but have also made some mistakes. Press releases seem to be the main one in my view. Poor wording of the last one and an error in the grammar changed the meaning completely. The Sherwood / McKinlay one I thought was completely wrong.
ABBEY Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 The original slogan was.100% Rovers 0% Kean 0% Venkys For me that still stands. After Kean was gone pressure on Venkys to run the club in a fit and proper manor should have been the focus. That should still be the case. Hear hear
47er Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Once a teacher, always a teacher! Not even an attempt at an answer! Must do better! Surely if it was down to the protests he would have gone last season. There weren't any protests this season when he actually ended up going.Shebby takes the credit for getting rid of him. It's the only good thing he's done since he's been here! If the action group had any influence on Shebby making that decision then fair play to them. You're not going to concede BRAG ever did anything useful are you Ricky? Dozens of posts from you knocking them.

Ricky Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Worked hard to get the message back to Pune Tried to get communication with the club Set up reasonable priced fan travel to games Got a message through to Shebby about the fans view of Kean Community involvement and charity work They are all good things done by Brag. There are obviously more as I'm sure someone will come on and post shortly. They are the things I appreciate they have done well.
Glenn Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I think that's Ricky's point, some people seem to be trying to force other to take sides, when the truth is many of us have plenty we can appliquéd the action group for and plenty we can criticise them form.
Backroom Mike E Posted January 12, 2013 Backroom Posted January 12, 2013 I've been one of brags bigger critics, to the point where I almost detest the group for becoming so political and involving itself in the club at a level that a fan group has no place. With that being said, I appreciated all they did re: protests all last season as it gave me a way of venting my frustration. Even though such protests were essentially futile, they helped me get my anger out away from the ground so that my support of the team wasn't compromised. But now, feel they have little/no purpose left. The only ppl who should influence the club are those who invest in it, whether we hate them or not. I'll be happy when venkys go, but it'll only happen when they sell up or we are forced into admin.
47er Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Have you worked out what Topman called you the other day? No,couldn't care less about either of you.

Hence when I see the club being torn apart by fools, I like most reasonable fans would like to influence them to start making rational decisions for the good of the club.
Backroom Tom Posted January 12, 2013 Backroom Posted January 12, 2013 So just blindly support the venkys then? That's not what he said is it? The action group this season hasn't been about gettig the owners out as far as it looks anyway, that has changed now with the latest press release granted so the new direction will be interesting and I imagine will get a lot of support but at the same time turn a lot of folk off
Backroom Mike E Posted January 12, 2013 Backroom Posted January 12, 2013 I've invested many hours & £££££££'s into supporting Rovers. Hence when I see the club being torn apart by fools, I like most reasonable fans would like to influence them to start making rational decisions for the good of the club. But what rational decision can a fan make? The very nature of being a fan = bias. Venkys own the club and unfortunately, what they say goes until govt says otherwise.Once fans have a direct investment into rovers as a company, then they may affect the clubs decisions. Don't pretend the club and company are different, because the unfortunate reality is they aren't. Abbey, please show me where I said I support venkys? My point was that brag (as tom noted) have done nothing publicly to try and oust venkys aside from irritating statements that ridicule and embarass respected football people. When any kind of action against venkys starts again, I'll offer my support. The only reason I'm not a brag member is so that my opinion isn't misrepresented on the basis of facebook/twitter/email knee-jerks of other fans.
SouthAussieRover Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 No,couldn't care less about either of you. The feelings mutual stooge.
SouthAussieRover Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Ooooooh! That's okay teacher.Settle down petal...
Glenn Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 So just blindly support the venkys then? That's what's known as a false syllogism The AG don't support Venky's Mike doesn't support the AG Therefore Mike supports Venky's or to use a slightly different example Dogs have four legs My cat has four legs Therefore my cat is a dog

Stuart Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Some good words there Glenn. Been doing a lot of reading? I don't think he meant the appliquéd one, I think it was supposed to say "applaud". Auto-correct can be fun sometimes!
perthblue02 Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I more interested in seeing a picture of his cat that's a dog

bob fleming Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 http://i1.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article1265683.ece/ALTERNATES/s1023/Frowning:+CatThat is one mean mutha of a cat/dog. Denim waistcoat, probably with some Hells Angel Chapter thing on the back. I wonder who would win in a fight between a cat/dog v dog/cat?Anyway, back to BRAG...
