Good move for all if true I imagine he'll do well there

Formica contributed very little in the entire time he was here. Slow, technically poor, physically weak. His main attribute was running around a lot without achieving a great deal.

On the other hand he is the new Batistuta so this could be a mistake.

I think Formica would be a very good playmaker if he was in a team where the attacking play was built around him, I think he will do well in Italy where pace isnt too important and I wouldn't be surprised to see him have another biggish money move in the future.

Wow physically weak, very strange comment considering he had the highest tackle success last season. Remember when people used to slate nzonzi when he clearly was our best player by a mile and is now comfortably stoke's best midfielder.

Does anyone know who Appleton is interested in signing, the new PR firm is doing a great job hiding our potential targets OR?

Nzonzi would have stayed had we sacked THE KEAN earlier...

Considering how spineless our team was last year I doubt he had much competition

Mirror reporting QPR offering a double take for Olsson and Dann £7.5m for them both. I wonder if there is any scope for nicking a midfieldr off them as part ex ?

Would that be enough to tempt us? I'm not sure it would to be honest. I really think we'd need to get a lot more than that to make it worthwhile. If Givet and Dann both go we'd need a pair of CB's.

Buy Martin Olsson for 7.5M... and get Scott Dann free!

And Ricky, I'm sure we've got a spare training cone lying about that we can replace Dann with on match days so don't worry about that.

People should learn that selling your better players, (and yes i know Im including Dann, which shows how far we have fallen), will only result in a worse team.

Sell the people who arent in the 1st team and replace them with people who can get in there. Theres a bunch of portugese kids who need to go before Dann and Olsson.

As for Formica, he's a bit meh, doesnt do a lot, but not the worst at the club either.

According to Nixon in the Mirror Dann is a 'proven' defender. He doesn't elaborate on what he's 'proven' at, but says Dann will cost QPR £4m and Olsson £3.5m. He also says we're after Man City youngster Karim Rekik as Olsson's replacement.

Why people slag Dann off, I'm not certain. Since about November he and Hanley have been pretty damn good imo and let down by the midfield in front of them. If we can keep Olsson and Dann, then we should. Even at the expense of 7m. Other players need to go before those 2.

Rekik is a cb so don't no how that will work, dann was shocking last season but has been solid this season, keep them both we need experience and there both solid players.

Dann is average at best. There are many cb partnerships in the championship that are as just as good (or effective) as ours that were put together for a fraction of Dann's cost. Rather have a couple of old pros at the back in this league.

Remember, players such as Nelsen, Moran, Gayle, Berg (second time) were all free transfers and were superb for us.
