Backroom Tom Posted January 28, 2013 Backroom Posted January 28, 2013 Fantastic player one week, terrible the next, one of the more dynamic players in our squad but definitely a plonker

Waggy76 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Glad Colin Colin is going. Bloody plonker. Definately , he has talent but the negatives far outweigh the positives ! Can do without players who sulk on the field and on twitter ...
Salgado Is A Hero Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 according to nixon, we want 6-7 players out, 4 or 5 coming in.expect 1 cb, 1 rw, 1 cm n 1 striker Hopefully Robinson, Etuhu and Peds, Jorge/Edinho loan, Martin Olsson will leave and probably Kazim. New CB, Bentley, Mullins and Marlon King.
Torgeir Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Would try and keep CKR if I was Appleton. Get rid of Goodwillie instead.
chris_h Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Please not Marlon King. He is a vile individual.
den Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Definately , he has talent but the negatives far outweigh the positives !Can do without players who sulk on the field and on twitter ... Better get used to rovers ever being second best then.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Please not Marlon King. He is a vile individual. He is indeed but he's the kind of player we need on a short term basis. Barton is a scumbag and Van Der Vaart is a wife beater but I'd take them as well.
roversfan99 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 We don't need Marlon King to be honest. I would perhaps sign a striker on a month/2 month loan until Best is back and ready.
chris_h Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I didn't know about Van Der Vaart, Barton struggles with some personal demons but Marlon King is on another level. Dave Whelen wouldn't have this violent criminal at Wigan and I hope we follow suit.
Commondore Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Why would they do that? Probaby because constantly closing down players doesn't pay off nearly as well when they have the ability to play the ball around you, as most teams in the Premiership tend to have. I'm not sure where this CKR-business is coming from, but there's certainly other players in our squad that need to be let go before him!
den Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Probaby because constantly closing down players doesn't pay off nearly as well when they have the ability to play the ball around you, as most teams in the Premiership tend to have. So give 'em even more room? Daft idea and wrong.
chaddyrovers Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 would like Chris Burke or Pennant or Bentley for the right wing position Alex Baptiste for CB Cameron Jerome up front Thorne or Dorrans for CM position
Ricky Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Rather go for Curtis Davies at CB as Birmingham need to raise funds and clear the high earners.
Oklahoma Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 6-7 players out should be: Diogo Rosado, Givet, CKR, Nuno Gomes, Paul Robinson, Henrique and Fabio Nunes.
G Somerset Rover Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 6-7 players out should be:Diogo Rosado, Givet, CKR, Nuno Gomes, Paul Robinson, Henrique and Fabio Nunes. Fabio Nunes? Don't be crazy, he's looked pretty good from the glimpses we've seen of him. He should be one of the players to stay without a doubt, he's a genuine talent.
Torgeir Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I'd keep Gomes around, his experience could prove invaluable should we reach the playoffs. Nunes probably on low wages, can't see why we'd get rid so soon. Robinson and Givet (doesn't seem like his heart is in it anymore) I'd let go.
Amo Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Appleton obviously doesn't rate Simon, so I'm sure he's one asset we could cash in on.
Damien Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 If we can keep ckr then we should, he has been fantastic for us. Nunes has been good on the occasions he has played! It's a shame that so many players need to leave because they have lost interest in the club.

It's a shame that so many players need to leave because they have lost interest in the club. Not sure that they have, but as a group they haven't performed well enough to warrant a promotion spot so it is only timely that Appleton decides to stir things around a little. Even the best teams need reinforcing on a regular basis to avoid going stale, just look at what happened to us in the wake of our title winning season.
chaddyrovers Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 keep Gomes and Nunes for sure. Nunes will be very good left winger for us.
roversfan99 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Appleton obviously doesn't rate Simon, so I'm sure he's one asset we could cash in on. He isn't effective as a winger and I'd prefer us to play someone more physical beside Rhodes. However I doubt we will get much for him if anything or we would have sold him in the summer.

You see am on the opposite side of the scale I would say he has been hot and cold at best.
Commondore Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 So give 'em even more room? Daft idea and wrong. Ever wonder why it's pretty rare that a team closes down their opposition every chance they get? Do you think it's because 90 % of managers and players are stupid and just can't figure out that sure fire key to success, or maybe there's something in what I'm saying? West Ham has signed Steven Warnock on loan, which should end their interest in Martin Olsson. Can't say I'm over the moon about it, given a decent fee I'd let Olsson go, at least way before Kazim Richards!
pick32 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Think robbo, rosado, givet will all leave and 3/4 young fringe players being loaned out.
A cup of beans Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 So are we saying jorge, the new gattuso, can't help us out in midfield?
