Vukcevic, Robbo, Formica, Givet and Rosado all out.

I hope we're bringing in more than Forrester and Henderson as replacements!

To be fair, only Givet out of those needs replacing.

Kean, Sandomierski

Orr, Henley, Kane, Hanley, Dann, Martin

Pedersen, King, Nunes, Murphy, Lowe, Etuhu, Dunn, Markus, Rochina

Rhodes, Best, Kazim-Richards, Goodwillie, Gomes

Left back and central defence becomes a big problem with Givet out.

Obviously we're looking a bit weak on the wings in midfield so I hope we bringing someone in, but numbers wise we're heading in the right direction.

Gutted that Vekcevic is going. Quality player.

Always something not quite right though. Contractual issues? Was he one of the incoming a that transfer window when the training ground was rocking?

"We" Pedro?

The conversation [without checking back] was between me and Commondore about whether Rhodes would be given more room in the PL - which in my view he definitely wouldn't.

Anyway, can't really be bothered arguing that one, it's all about opinions.

I think the Premier League defences and midfielders stand off and give you more time.

Why would they do that?

Then kept saying they don't stand off more and mark tightly, myself and the other guy disagreed...hence the "we".
Regardless, it's only an opinion.

Completely see what you mean Le Chuck, but right wing is becoming a bit of a problem area for me too - that needs addressing before the deadline. Also Andy Cryer believes 3 will come in, so if that includes Forrester and Robbo's makeweight then we're looking short in a couple of areas.

if it is freddy adu, check this out, not as greedy as some of you make out, always liked him personally. creats some quality chances for his teamates, unfortunatly they cant score to sdave their lives, but im guessin our goal machine wont have the same problem.

It's a far cry from the team Venkys inherited ?

It's ok putting names to positions , but its able bodies we need .

Far too much downgrading IMO in the last 2 years .

Yes wage bill needs cutting , but you can only cut back so much before you are left with an uncompetitive squad .

Already the team is struggling in the championship due to the last January window cull.

There is 30 hours left and to date , I have not heard of any inspiring names which are replacing the ones who will not be here come 11pm tomorrow .

A lot can change , and fingers crossed they do between now and then

I'm quite content with how the window is progressing, we desperately need shut of some of the higher earners and the likes of Formica, Robinson and Simon won't be missed too much, we desperately need some players in tomorrow for CM, RW and defensive cover but it seems like we are at least trying to reduce the wage bill.

I'd rather that at the end of the season we can build for a new promotion challenge next season than be lumbered with too many players on too much money potentially crippling us

i think this season is already over for us , its a case of trimming the fat , put some money in the coffers , make it through til the end of season and rebuild the squad for a promotion push in August

when was the last time rovers had a good transfer window? 5 years ago? its gotten worse every window that venkys have been here, all they have done is sign managers and players cheaply as they can whilst sell off our better assests, (bar rhodes), and we wonder why we are where we are. why are people concerned about the wage bill, let the venkyscum worry about that, the club needs a lift and that means a couple of players that will excite the fans a bit after 2 years of utter horror
