chaddyrovers Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 If they were worried about the "new football rules" would they really have gone out and give the most overpaid wages ever to two midfielders and signed a striker on big wages for £8million and signed another Portugese striker on big wages? these new football rules werent inplace last summer. I believe there is a football league with all 72 clubs there to discuss when the rules will come in to force. most likely this summer. Plus Appleton has said the playing squad is way too big so he is cutting in and bring in his own players. pleased who is leaving so far

davulsukur Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Andrew Cryer @CryerRoversLinganzi has had his contract terminated at Rovers. Was he still there? Can't believe we were still paying him wages.
Baz Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Andrew Cryer @CryerRoversLinganzi has had his contract terminated at Rovers. Was he still there? Who's gonna do the french lessons when kids come to ewood to learn now?
McClarky Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Best hope for us is that the scout Appleton has brought in is able to bring in young players who in 18 months time are good enough to hold their own in the Prem. This season is over so we should be building for the longer term now. Midfield is still the worry as we have no proper wide men and taking account of Murphy's age, probably no one who could play in centre mid and have an impact. Better start looking now as we won't have tha cash to bring anyone proper in.
pick32 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 There is away to get around the rules for example city's massive sponsorship deal. Venkys could generate a profit by getting one of there side company's to buy advertising space for 20million, there is a lot of loop holes the new rules wont change anything.
donnermeat Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 That's what you pay clever accountants for.

pick32 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Got to spend money to make money and the premiership is a lot more lucrative than the championship.
Stuart Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I'm quite content with how the window is progressing, we desperately need shut of some of the higher earners and the likes of Formica, Robinson and Simon won't be missed too much, we desperately need some players in tomorrow for CM, RW and defensive cover but it seems like we are at least trying to reduce the wage bill.I'd rather that at the end of the season we can build for a new promotion challenge next season than be lumbered with too many players on too much money potentially crippling us I'm not at all content. Replacing quality with mediocrity. Again. We aren't building a squad for promotion next season, we are preparing for mid table - if we are lucky. Our squad will shortly be on par with Burnley and Blackpool. IMHO.
Majiball Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Buy league one players and you'll get league one football.
chaddyrovers Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Buy league one players and you'll get league one football. where have we bought a league 1 footballer???
Aduesque Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 CKR is better than Adu, and very different - Adu lacks that physical presence but does have pace to burn and isn't as bad as people think. Even though he didn't 'make it', he's definitely Championship standard and would be a welcome addition to our squad in my view. Hello Blackburn fans. I am an American who has closely followed Adu's career. Any questions about him, I can answer.
davulsukur Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Buy league one players and you'll get league one football. Similar to when Kean replaced our premier league players with Championship ones.
AJW Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Linganzi ! A joke of a footballer .... Sam"s worse ever signing
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Can't imagine being anything other than disappointed by incomings in the next 24 hours. We need quality that can go straight into the first team, not kids, freebies and third rate never has beens. Last January signed our Premiership death warrant. If we don't bring in anyone decent - having shipped out several players, it will be the clearest indication yet that there will be no more money from Venkys IMO.
Backroom Tom Posted January 30, 2013 Backroom Posted January 30, 2013 I'm not at all content. Replacing quality with mediocrity. Again. We aren't building a squad for promotion next season, we are preparing for mid table - if we are lucky. Our squad will shortly be on par with Burnley and Blackpool. IMHO. Quite possible but if the alternative is going out of business then surely its preferable We simply can't sustain keeping players on the wages we have currently
keaney23 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Hello Blackburn fans. I am an American who has closely followed Adu's career. Any questions about him, I can answer. Is Adu deal actually on? I thought it was just paper dribble
dwayne cage Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Hello Blackburn fans. I am an American who has closely followed Adu's career. Any questions about him, I can answer. Is he as bad as I think he is?
Stuart Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 where have we bought a league 1 footballer???Don't be so obtuse chaddy, you know exactly the point he is making. Or maybe I give you too much credit.Oh, and, Jordan Rhodes. By the way, he's probably our best player. That's how far we have fallen...
Aduesque Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Is Adu deal actually on? I thought it was just paper dribble His agent is in Blackburn and flew in from the States. So most likely is the answer.

sharpysharps Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Adu has been ditched by his team in the states I think. Not exactly had the glittering career that he had many times on football manager.
