Aberdeen Blue Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Reo-Coker would be good. On the bench for Ipswich yesterday. Do not touch with a shity stick! He is a perfect example of a player who thinks he is far better than he really is and we have enough of those already.
Drover Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Wilson palacios was mentioned in that dann article. Surely he would be a great buy. Question is would he come? * although just looking online it sound like he has a dodgey knee, could be a risk then *
bypass06 Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Givet could make January return to France with Evian http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8355471/?

Lhrover Posted December 24, 2012 Author Posted December 24, 2012 Water shame. wouldn't be if they really 'splash' out. we are terrible
Eddie Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 They have horrible uniforms. He's unlikely to sign a new deal here, so it might be smart to get some money for him, cut the wage bill slightly and try to bring in a replacement.
Amo Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 They have horrible uniforms. Over here we call 'em kits.
bluebruce Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 wouldn't be if they really 'splash' out. we are terrible They can't spend too much though or they'll be in danger of liquidation.
USABlue Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Or they could go backwards if they are naive with their transfers.
Stuart Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Givet hasn't got the bottle for the Championship.
CapeTownRover Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Neither does any of our squad Stuart. I said when we were relegated, that intead of premier league rejects, we should have splashed out on those good championship players who just missed out on promotion with their clubs. We are now seeing, that those premier league players we signed, are unable to survive in this league. However, a player like Rhodes, has at least looked good, and he has not played in the premier league.
JAL Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 With a week to go till the january transfer window who are Rovers linked with.

Mafioso Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Still he's yet to put in a sparkling performance this season..
Waggy76 Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 With a week to go till the january transfer window who are Rovers linked with. I suspect no one of any note . Get rid of everyone except Rhodes and start afresh , it cannot be any worse ..
RoyRover Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Getting rid of Givet would be a disaster. He's our best defender.
Amo Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 With a week to go till the january transfer window who are Rovers linked with. Shebby's consulting his 96/97 PL Sticker Album.
Lhrover Posted December 29, 2012 Author Posted December 29, 2012 i guess we cant really sign anyone till we get another new manager, so not gonna be much news tbh
Oklahoma Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Today Paul Robinson, Gael Givet, David Dunn, Mauro Formica, Morten Gamst Pedersen, and Dickson Etuhu were all absent, apparently injured. For me, they should leave in January. They haven't produced enough for what they earn and if someone wants them, they can go. They should be replaced by younger players that have experience in the Championship and want to get to the Premier League.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 I'd get rid of Robinson, Peds and Etuhu but I can't see that latter two getting any offers even if they are available for free. I'd keep Dunn for his experience and influence in the dressing room.....and we need him to fire up the players for when we play Burnley again.
Amo Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 We'll find takers for Robinson, Formica & Givet. The rest? Nyeeeeeh.
pick32 Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 id keep formica he is one of the hardest workers in the team.
dwayne cage Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 If offers come in for Formica I would sell. Sell all of the Portugese riff raff other than Nunes and Gomes. Sell Robbo and sell a few other shocking players. Get in some Championship battlers and not gamble on could they/will they players.
