I asked a similar question a couple of years back but cant find the thread.

Ive got a new ipod , however, my old one all the songs are on a now broken laptop, Some are on my newer one .What I want to do is add the songs on my old ipod to my new one as well.

Not all mp4s will work depending where you've downloaded them from as it depends what resolution they get ripped at. I know this because I ripped the whole Wire boxset to put on my ipod, taking 4 hours, to find out I'd done it wrong!

If film has come from iTunes then you'll be alright!

iTunes 11 is a bloody nightmare. Thankfully I changed the 'view' and we're back to normal - phew !
