Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Too many of the players have nothing beating under the badge. If they had we'd get out of this mess. Today's game isn't about skill levels, if it was I'd fancy us. It's about heart and we haven't got any.

Backroom DE. Posted April 6, 2013 Backroom Posted April 6, 2013 Who are the 'big hitters' in league one then? Who will we be looking out for next season? Who are we going to be battling to stay in the division? Exciting times ahead, as Stevie Kean might say.
G Somerset Rover Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I never thought I would see the day where Rovers would be below my local team Yeovil Town in the footballing pyramid. When we won the premier league Yeovil got relegated from the conference. As things stand they are on course to be a division higher than us next season. FML.
philipl Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Remember those annoying posts last season which said how much fun it would be to be in the second tier? I think I am finally agreeing with them that being in the second tier next season would be rather good....
OJRovers Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Looking at the League One table, it's horrendous, the biggest team is probably Sheffield united. Minnows of the leagues.
Stuart Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Looking at the League One table, it's horrendous, the biggest team is probably Sheffield united. Minnows of the leagues. I remember Man City scraping back up via a last minute goal in the play-off final a wee while back. Every team you play treat it as a cup final. Every player, the biggest game of their lives. If we kept the current spineless squad, we'd be in real trouble.
rhodie Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I`m not looking forward to the @#/? take we are going to get from the dingles, especially considering I live in dingle land and they all know I`m a Rovers supporter.

Every player, the biggest game of their lives. If we kept the current spineless squad, we'd be in real trouble. Regardless of what league we are in. We simply cannot keep the majority of the current players.

broadsword Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I could see us doing 3 relegations in a row, quite easily.
Clitherover Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I could see us doing 3 relegations in a row, quite easily. I'd be inclined to say don't be so dramatic, but I also would have said that about anyone who thought we'd get consecutive relegations this time last season. With Rovers, nothing surprises me anymore...

Let´s be honest...the views of Burnley fans are the least of our troubles right now.
philipl Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 16 Leeds United 41 -10 52 17 Blackpool 41 2 51 18 Sheff Wed 40 -9 50 19 Wolves 41 -9 48 20 Barnsley 40 -10 48 21 Huddersfield 41 -26 48 22 Blackburn 40 -7 47 23 Peterborough 41 -8 47 24 Bristol City 41 -18 4 Already a point adrift of safety.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 When I saw todays team at 2.00 my first thought was " if we get relegated this team won't be good enough to get us back up " !

I can't realistically see us picking up more than 4 points. I can see Hudds and Barnsley each rounding out about 6 more. League One Rovers. Third Division here we come right back where I started from. Poor Uncle Jack, he'll be turning. Anyone know the new Pope we'll be needing him to declare a miracle if we get out of this one. I hate the dot head ferkers, I did not like it when I first saw em (racist I was) and I despise them with a passion now. I told my girlfriend then It will all end in tears.

Waggy76 Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 When I saw todays team at 2.00 my first thought was " if we get relegated this team won't be good enough to get us back up " ! Of course it wont , there is no Metcalfe ,Parkes and Fazackerley in that shower of pooh !
steverovers Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I can smell coffee but can you? At the rate we are going we will finish bottom. The table never lies at this time of season. What price a similar situation next season, a league lower? The current squad are nowhere near good enough to COMPETE in any division!!
philipl Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 As things are going, the game in hand away at Millwall is purely an opportunity for us to swap places with Peterborough on goal difference.
Rover_Shaun Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 As things are going, the game in hand away at Millwall is purely an opportunity for us to swap places with Peterborough on goal difference. I admire your optimism Philip. I think we will be below Peterborough well before then
Mr. E Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Last relegation it was anger and shock, now it's more despair and tears. A part of me still think I'm gonna wake up tomorrow and we'll be back where we belong, in the premiership, battling with Villa and Everton for 6th place or something. It's been over 2 years I think since Venkys took over buts its still surreal that this is happening to us.
