alexanders Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 No. He can be selected tomorrow, but that is the last game.
St_Jimmy_77 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 His loan expires on the 2nd Jan, so he's available for tomorrow's game. There is an option to buy, but would he want to stay or more to the point would Rovers still want him given Berg's departure?
Rovers_Dan Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I believe hes returning to manure. Probably not a good place to be at the moment for a kid learning his trade.
Baz Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Personally Id keep him if possible, I think he shows a lot of promise, and his pace is something we lack in the squad.
Blue blood Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Personally Id keep him if possible, I think he shows a lot of promise, and his pace is something we lack in the squad. Totally agree. Good at attacking and can properly play right mid. How many others do we have who can play there, much less have significant signs of promise? Not sure his all round game is all that great, certainly not good enough to get into the manure team anytime soon, and so for the lad a move away makes sense. Not sure he'd want to join the madhouse though. Shame as he seems a decent prospect.
Hasta Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I'd try and keep him for the rest of the season. I think he's better than Kazim Richards.
Torgeir Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 His loan expires on the 2nd Jan, so he's available for tomorrow's game. There is an option to buy, but would he want to stay or more to the point would Rovers still want him given Berg's departure? Yes, I think he's more worried about his own career than Henning's to be honest - they didn't know each other prior to Henning bringing him in on loan. Managerless or not, King is getting some much needed time on the pitch.
Steve Moss Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Whether we can keep King will largely depend on who the manager is, I presume. Yet another reason to get this appointment done and dusted. Does anyone know if Peter Taylor has a decent relationship with SAF?
rhodie Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Just heard he has signed for 2 and a 1/2 years, don`t know if it`s true yet, awaiting official confirmation.
Hasta Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Just heard he has signed for 2 and a 1/2 years, don`t know if it`s true yet, awaiting official confirmation. Worrying if true. Shows who's making the signings.
JAL Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Just heard he has signed for 2 and a 1/2 years, don`t know if it`s true yet, awaiting official confirmation. If he can maintain todays standard of performance then id be happy with that. Personally Id keep him if possible, I think he shows a lot of promise, and his pace is something we lack in the squad. Definitely we need pace to get us out of trouble.
Waggy76 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Just heard he has signed for 2 and a 1/2 years, don`t know if it`s true yet, awaiting official confirmation. King or Taylor ?
RevidgeBlue Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Not the worst player I've ever seen but I don't particularly rate him either. Would much rather strengthen elsewhere personally.
Eddie Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 The added pace is welcome and if the fee is sensible and his wages are too then I'd be in favour of signing him.
Stuart Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 He's added an extra dimension to most games he's played in after the first game. He shook hands with the ref and most of his team mates as he walked off. Made me think he was definitely off. It's be good to keep him if possible - whoever is doing the deals.
Amo Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 If our January spending is limited to him or a new CM/CB then needs must.
Blue Cabbage Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Cryer reckons he's due to sign a two and a half year deal
sparky12 Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Get him signed up... Has been strong, looked decent and scored a couple.... Gives us so much more than Marcus on the left
briansol Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Would be a very good signing for this level. Probably not expensive since his contract runs out this summer. Young, versatile, strong and direct and very paceful which gives the squad a dimension we've lacked. Would be good if we were able to sign him up even without a manager.
broadsword Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 hmmm ... we have no manager yet we are signing players ... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 hmmm ... we have no manager yet we are signing players ... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Could be that the deal was agreed as part of the loan. There was lots of rumours at the time that we had agreed to purchase in January.
broadsword Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Doesn't matter, if you don't have a manager and expect to announce one imminently, you don't sign players. Unless of course, the manager-to-be agrees to it. Now, do you think that's the case in this instance?

Personally don't know how these loan deals - with an agreement to purchase work (if that is the case). Could we have backed out of the deal ?
