Do you think we missed the boat considering who was linked to the Blackburn job prior to Berg's appointment and the team in a much stronger position?

Personally I'm surprised that none of the above didn't have a higher percentage! Sven will be expensive, Brown seems volatile (although did have success getting Hull promoted from the division, but he has been out of work for a while).

Hughes would want to be promised a lot of funds and expenses to even consider us. Davies is a good selection, but I'm a fan of Poyet, I think he's done a terrific job at Brighton and got them playing some good stuff too!

Cryer has been wrong before

Doubt this time he will be though. Poyet is to logical a choice to be considered

Not on this occasion.

It's not Poyet.

Before Berg appointed, there was speculation that Singh met Poyet on the Friday night prior to Brighton's game at Blackpool so this didn't seem too daft.

However, Cryer has poured some cold water on this so looking unlikely you would think.

4-5 days ago?! That's a long time in Venkyland. Wouldn't surprise me if that shortlist now has a completelt different set of names on it.

Which is one of the reasons I have not, and will not disclose who is on it.

Can you give us an indication of which direction we seem to be going, with regards to the new manager?

Old head (Sven), big name (Hughes), never-has-been (Taylor, Davies) or young and possibly talented (Coyle, Poyet)?

Not fair grouping Davies in with Taylor has a "never-has-been".

He's managed three Championship clubs. He took all of them to the play-offs and got Derby promoted.

I saw a 'short list' 4-5 days ago. Poyet isn't on it.

Look at me! Look at me!

Sorry MG but that's one of the biggest attention seeking posts in a long time.....I bet your Inbox is going bonkers with questions from Chady and Chady and Chady.....
