Toronto FC have just confirmed Ryan Nelsen as their new 'head coach'. Indications are that he will play until the end of the season with QPR.

Good luck Ryan!

Best of luck, how great would it be to have kept a hold of him under Kean and now be watching him take his first steps as caretaker manager?

Hope the guy does well. Nightmare scenario for QPR though.

Maybe they'll come in for Givet or Dann?

Harry's got a good eye for a player, so aboslutely no chance.

Best of luck to one of my all time favourite Rovers player. Classy guy, great servant, great ambassador for his country, our club and the game in general. Happy he left our mad-house when he did as he is far to classy to be in anyway involved with the plankton and general low life we have running the show.

All the best to him.

Will certainly have to start looking out for their results once the new season starts.

As mentioned above, I hope to see him back over on these shores in the future.

A great ambassador for football worldwide, the sort of player/person every footballer should be.

For me, Nelsen sums up exactly what a Blackburn Rovers player should be. Not untalented, but with an attitude and lack of ego which made him competitive with the best. Really hope he does well.

One of very few footballers who can truly call themselves a professional. All the best to him.

Good luck Ryan. A proper man and terrific competitor. What he lacked in skill he more than made up with honest endeavour and commitment. Hopefully he will be a success and return to Ewood for some unfinished business.

Nelsen is still playing for QPR?..........but...but Steve Kean made it out like he virtually snapped his back in 23 places!!!!

Are you telling me Steve Kean lied?? :o

Best of luck to him, was gutted when he left, and the circumstances in which he did so were terrible.

Was grim seeing him bossing it for someone else..

Nelsen talks in the Bbc article about glass knees & ankles, sounding like he would have finished playing already if he wasn't singlehandedly saving qpr at the minute, something i guess we would have known when selling him.
