Yea. You can tell by how often he posts. Plus they share a lot of the same views put forward in that condescending tone of his.

Oh and 'Plastics' is probably a dig at the fans in some way.

My username is a reference to the film The Graduate.

I just hope he isn't judged on whether we go up or not

When he came in promotion was a near impossible task and now that there is the slightest glimmer of hope people's expectations may change

Agreed.

Top half would be perfectly respectable given the situation Appleton inherited. Next season, however, promotion should certainly be the expectation - assuming Venky's don't do something monumentally stupid in the meantime to sabotage that goal, something which unfortunately we can't ever rule out.

I just think that we're all happy to have a footballing person in charge again. For the time being we all need to back him, but it's going to be a long road back.

People on here are mad. Every single point Appleton has won so far is down solely to Jordan Rhodes and no one else. We still do not have anything remotely resembling a team, we have one great striker, and nothing else.

And Jordan proves you wrong by not scoring. Every point Appleton has won so far has been because the team have found out how to play for a whole match, how to play as a team (there were signs they were doing that under Bowyer) how to actually defend, and then we're lucky to have a good striker. One man does not win games - the great Alan Shearer used to say it every week. does not matter how many your star man bags if the rest of them aren't doing their job. nobody is hailing Appleton as the Messiah;just as someone who seems to know a lot more about how to train and set up a team than anyone we've had in charge recently.

Are you for real or are you just here to wind people up?

You talk like a completely clueless idiot after every game and it's quite tiring. Please try to understand football before you post. You really do need some help.

"Every single point".

So Jordan Rhodes is the sole reason we've been keeping clean sheets then?

You're a bloody tool. I don't know why you haven't been banned well before now. You NEVER contribute anything positive, ever.

Looking at the overall performances I don't think we have seen a huge difference under Appleton. The defense is still a bend but don't break one instead of being dominant, it's still under a huge amount of pressure during games and you are seeing players making last ditch tackles and blocks plus Kean has been making some cracking saves. Rhodes has been the major difference in terms of attack, without him I don't think we would be anywhere near playoff contention right now.

Appleton has instilled a great deal of resolve and the team seems to handle that pressure better but going off the performances so far is this sustainable? I have my doubts, I think the performance signs are there that we could have a wobble sometime in the near future where we go on a bad run.

But as long as we keep picking up points that's all that matters. If we get outplayed in every game but win who cares?

Appleton has sorted out the defence and got them enjoy defending.

Now Appleton has got to work on the attacking side now.

this is something Appleton has said on Rovers player last week

we need signings tho to improve the attacking side of out game like Box to box Midfielder and Right winger

I said i'd judge Appleton after 10 games, so far he's done well on and off the pitch. The players seem to have reacted well to him. Its a pity he had such a mountain to climb with our league position when he took over.

This is a strong argument, based on reasoned logic.

He doesn't just score, he gives us belief that we can actually get something out of a game. But the others can not pass, can not tackle, know nothing about proper organization, know nothing about tackling and proper man marking...I mean have you been following our games this season? Where are we right now?

Because this is absolutely the time for joy and celebration. Hail Venkys, the heroes of Blackburn ?
