Because this is absolutely the time for joy and celebration. Hail Venkys, the heroes of Blackburn ?

Sorry but that is frankly stupid. Just because someone sees improvement in results and is not a miserable, bleak so-and-so like you it doesn't mean they're all going to start or have been bigging up the owners. Not everyone is as keen to say that the world is ending as you seem to be doing. All I can say is I hope you don't work for Samartians.

There is an improvement in results - all due to one man, Jordan Rhodes. Certainly not due to Venkys, the vast majority of the squad that they put together, and their agents (like Appleton). Supporting Appleton is pro Venkys and anti-Rovers, simple as.

That last statement is rubbish. Simple as. So you'd rather we lost every game, and got relegated again, in the (probably) vain hope Venky's will leave? What is your solution then? Sack Appleton now, and bring in the 6th manager this season? Who'd want to take over then? Jim Bowen? former head of the UN Kofi Annan? Paul Merson?

The simple fact is we are stuck with those Indian winkers for the time being so it is the case of hoping for the best whilst they're here. Oh, and if it is all down to Rhodes and no-one else, then why did we have that shocking run under Berg? I believe Rhodes was a Rovers player then too.

How is supporting a manager that seems to be doing mostly the right things anti-Rovers?

The team has conceded just two goals, both penalties, in five games FFS. Is that down to Jordan Rhodes? I didn't realise he had taken over from Hendry and Mimms in coaching the defenders and keepers to be much better organised, limiting the amount of shots on goal, and free chances.

I am not a fan of Venkys by any means, but I'm more interested in what happens on the pitch than off it at the moment. At the end of the day what is done is done, until they decide to bugger off we are stuck with them so I'll just get on with supporting the team rather than going grey over something I can not influence.

Mr E, you are talking out of ur backkside. Results have improve because Appleton has sorted the defence out and got us playing as a team. Plus they looking better fitness wise.

Do you even attend games??? be surprise if you do.

great posts. Forget about Venkys. till someone wants to buy the club we are struck with them. so lets move on.

Appleton hasn't took long to sort the defence out, when Kean or Berg couldnt do so.

If we maintain our current solidity until the end of the season then we can begin to hail the decision to appoint him. Up to now we've beaten two teams in the bottom 20, lost at home to charlton and drawn twice with Brigton. A few victories against teams above us and around us would point more to something changing

You mean the Jordan Rhodes that's been playing all season, even during kean and bergs reigns? Not one to use what few brain cells you have are you?

People on here are mad. Every single point Appleton has won so far is down solely to Jordan Rhodes and no one else. We still do not have anything remotely resembling a team, we have one great striker, and nothing else.

I don't know Mr. E, Appleton did sign players after the window closed. Since that's obviously not allowed, he must be some kind wizard, right?

Milk? Very good film too.

Yep, that's my avatar, since in the other section of this board I found myself posting quite a bit on gay marriage.

Orr has the self awareness to say he's not good enough to choose where he's loaned to. I do respect him for that.

Yet not enough self-awareness to detect what was wrong with the timing and content of his Kean brown-tongueing after the Wigan game...

Why does Appleton need a scout, seems he only signs players he's had before.

When did he work with Bentley? It usually takes ages for scouts to build up a report on a player, Appleton needs players now. Why wouldn't he go for players he knows already?

Hughes took a similar approach when he came. Quickly brought in the likes of Savage to fill some holes.

Appleton has worked with Rekik and Thomas(wba as a coach). he's never work with DJ Campbell or Bentley or Gorkss.

Fans need to trust his judgement and give him their support. I know some fans struggle with this after 2 years of a certain manager who I cant write his name but Appleton is nothing like him at all.

Appleton said after Brighton game, we are progressing under him but still along way of being were he wants us to be and improve attacking and possession wise.

Hughes brought in players he works with before like Savage and Bellamy. Plus 2 complete unknown in Nelsen and Mokenna. bet most/all fans thought why the hell are we signing them. Nelsen turned out to great signing and captain the club. Mokenna was decent player who did a job when needed.
