Comments at the bottom there...

"So much for searching out an experienced manager?.

The only thing he is experienced in is dealing with shambolic owners at Portsmouth & not being able to deal with the Oystons at Blackpool.

Well done Shebby, pat yourself on the back, you have found a famous, well respected experienced manager.

Fool!!"

Some folks will blame Singh regardless.

Thought this had nothing to do with Shebby.

i think Appleton might do a decent job if left alone and is allowed to bring his own backroom staff in.

Appleton deserves nothing of the sort. He needs to EARN it

What does 4x wages mean? He's on 4x he was a Blackpool? Some reward for being @#/?

Ok, but not with people protesting and calling for his head from the off.

Give the bloke a chance.

Nobodies going to protest about him as anyone would take the 4x wage increase, especially after being totally crap. However Venkys and the board deserve nothing but @#/? through their letterboxes

I was astounded when read on here last night , that Appleton was going to be the Rovers manager ...

Since then , i have reflected and he needs the support of the fans !

As for C K R , he can do one now for me !! We can do without players like him ,,,,,,,,,,

Well they can feck off then.

IMO, that load of shyte have relegation on their cv's.

As I have said before, they are paid enormous sums of money, so stop bellyaching and give 100% in every training session and match.

If PL WBA players and Hodgson respect Appleton, who are this, IMO, bunch of under-performing primma donnas not to.

Time to stop pandering - I think it's been been a holiday camp at Brockhall since Sam left.

Totally agree, couldn't have put it better myself.

Think all need to remember that there is no law saying you must follow Rovers through thick and thin.

It is a choice, open to all individuals, that can be exercised at any time they want. Just as it is a choice to support your local pub or butcher.

I respect the right of all fans to make that decision as I think we all should, whether we agree with their choice or not.

Think you will find that Moyes was already at the club as player and then coach and Davies was brought in by I think Craig Brown as assistant manager

I stand corrected, Moyes was already there, and Davies was Brown's assistant but Shagnew must have given him the managers position.

Once the news has sunk in, I'm sure 99% of the fans will be behind him. Perhaps not the name we were hoping for but I think he'll be decent. His teams are well organised and I like a manager that can drill a team into an effective unit.

He's not the experienced guy we needed but I would also argue he has not been "totally crap".

Certainly not all Blackpool fans are happy to see him leave.

How can anyone moan about CKR's comments when they themselves are moaning about Appleton getting the job?

Sounds a good deal all round doesn't it , considering the problems this week at Blackpool. Oyston doesn't have to pay him off but gets a nice comp payment from his mates club, Appleton doesn't have to resign from Blackpool and gets a nice pay rise, Appleton's advisors get a 2nd pay day in 2 months, Shagnew get one over on Singh and somebody made a few quid out of the bookies

Hope he does well bit a bit to convenient for my liking, wonder who approached who?

He must win our support just like Henning Berg who didn't, I won't give him support yet.

Ok so are you going to boo him? Say he lasted 57 days are you going to boo the next one as well? this has got to end sometime lads Kean I could understand. But don't turn yourselves into fools. The fact of the matter no 1 appointment will please everybody but to protest before he's even arrived? just saying you not doing yourselves favours and you're making the job a bigger Poison Chalice than it already is.

You really are a grumpy old fart.

I'll do what I want. I'll do what I want. I'm a grumpy old fart, I'll do what I want.

I was going to come back for as many games as I could but now I'll save my cash, sit on the fence, and see what happens by the summer and if against all the odds we are not looking for a new manager I may restart my quarter of a century with a season ticket. That is my prerogative as this no longer feels like the club I loved

I'm no Shaw apologist, I know next to nowt about him but if he appointed both Moyes and Davies at Preston then he must have seen something in them and that is encouraging.

look out guys, we got a badass over here

He's nothing of the sort, that would be more interesting. He's just thick as sh*t and shows it on pretty much every thread.
