[Archived] Michael Appleton - New Rovers Manager

True story.

If they interviewed him days ago, why was the breaking news only today that Blackpool have given permission to speak to him?

Saying that, MG did say a couple of days ago a deal was done on the strength of a handshake. Maybe he WAS approached illegally and Oyston has only just found out?

So maybe the Venky's have decided on Appleton with maybe a bit of help from you know who -- Dark forces are we in a time warp from 2 years ago.

Tweet just now from Northern Rover (Kamy)

Sorry guys two people I trust implicitly are saying Appleton agent now Kentaro, changed last week, so now unsure of it all.

Sorry chaps already reported doh

Could the loons in pune interview Appleton without approaching Blackpool? If not looks like there's a lot of lies on both sides

Logistics - is Appleton that savvy to solely set up a Skype call with Mrs D?

If not the three amigos involved, then who?

After Shebsters radio rants & meeting Agnew & Shaw in person, the Pune loons may realise their "baby" ain't in safe hands.

They may be taking a more hands on roll?

Either way its gonna go tits up.

Guaranteed!

Appleton has one more win than Henning Berg and he's had two more games. Yet Berg was deemed sackable and they've gone for Appleton to succeed him, and are also willing to pay compensation to get him.

If you made it up, no one would believe it.

Yup, just about sums it up.

Just one thing doesn't stack up. Appleton (wisely by Bpool ) was on a 1 year rolling contract.... so why the hell after all the times they have paid good money after bad to departing managers have the Lunes in Pune reputedly authorised their men in Blackburn to offer him 4 year one? And especially when the average tenure of a manager in this Div is around 2 years? Fools and their money eh?

4 year deal........ So it appears the dark forces of Kentaro are still Venky's favourite charity! If true any hope BRFC had of enticing me back to the fold has just evaporated. @#/? em! In fact Anderson em.

After 2 years of trying to remove Jerome Anderson, he is indeed the man behind the Appleton appointment, deal done direct with india

Our favourite rumour-monger with an update to the Dastardly & Mutley did this now that has been disproved. Couldn't come up with a better one to get the pitchforks waving

What the hell is wrong with these people??

They turn to the bloke who foisted Kean on them and led to them spunking millions on relegation, a compo payout and incalculable losses through brand tarnishing.

I've always wondered when we'd hit rock bottom and hoped, with the Berg episode, we had. Now I feel like there's quite some way to go yet.

I just can't work this out at all but one thing is for sure, these clowns have to be driven out. There is no BRFC while they own us.

What would you say if its proven Anderson is involved?

id say whats new then! And like i said above, as long as the manager is actually descent im not mithered, agenis are behind everything in football and kentaro are one of the bigger agencies so you never really have to look to hard to find some kind of connection to them(its like that six degrees of kevin bacon game. only 2-3 degrees of sem instead :) )

Could it come back to 3rd party ownership.

Why is Aggers still here?
