I actually think that as set of fans we can be embarrassing at times.

If fans from other clubs were to read this message board they'd probably have a stroke induced by laughing too much. Only we could truly hate a manager before hes had a match or even stepped foot in Ewood.

People seem to look for any excuse to lambaste any of the suggestions, we're like a bunch of spoiled children:

1) Sven (experienced manager) - hasn't done anything since leaving Italy, only wants the money, he has no hair etc...

2) Appleton (not experienced but promising) - terrible win ration (despite it seems he has an ability to shore up a defense, an ability people cannot deny we need!), the agency he is with, (players such as Witsel and Mikel are with SEM would fans revolt if we signed these two? Doubt it.), he has no hair etc...

3) Billy Davies and Phil Brown - have beens etc...

4) Taylor and MacDonald - not good enough etc...

All i ask is for people to give him a chance, surely he deserves that. And if he fails, fair enough don't support him. But the chances of that increase if we don't initially get behind him and the team.

STATEMENT: The SEM Group OR Jerome Anderson is not in ANY way involved with Michael Appleton & never has been OR have they had any dialogue whatsoever with Venky's in respect of the prospective appointment of Mr Appleton as manager. ALL reports by any individual or otherwise are fabricated & totally untrue

What a surprise!

It does make you wonder though what Glen Mullan's agenda is in continually spreading false rumours about JA.

Doesn't alter the fact it's a poor appointment imo though.

We stumble across someone who clicks with the players and has a 100% record then change him for another relatively inexperienced man with a poor record!

"Give him a chance". That's what I said about Henning Berg. Trouble is, nobody will be successful with the owners and "management team" we have. Full stop. Without proper leadership we are rudderless and heading for the rocks. There is not a single manager in the whole world who could manage the mess we have become.

Promising??!!

On which planet could you call Appleton promising?

What point is it that he doesn't concede much if his record has him only winning around a quarter of the games he manages?

All that most rational fans want is someone with a bit of experience who has something better than consistent failure on his CV.

Who in their right minds would appoint any manager on the back of their last three games?

Exactly. Even Kean managed a decent run of results over three games. Perhaps not three wins, but the back-to-back results against Man Utd and Liverpool spring to mind.

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11676/8390581? Most supporters you speak to will say it's not an appointment they welcome," Wild said. What a @#/?. He does not represent every Blackburn Rovers supporter. These 'fan' groups are doing more harm than good.
He is right MOST do not welcome this shockingly incompetent and downright reckless appointment

Not a lot wrong with what Wild has said there. He's just speaking the truth.

And Wild fears the state of affairs under Blackburn's Indian powerbrokers could have grave implications for the club's future.

"It's causing supporters to walk away," he added. "The numbers have dropped dramatically and it's going to drop another 50 per cent.

"People are just saying they've had enough of the comical circus of the way the club is being run and they're voting with their feet.

"That is the biggest problem at the moment and these people will not come back. We'll lose them for ever if we're not careful."

that is because way too many people just think negative now. id rather ma over a lot of people some have mentioned on this board. blackpool fans i have read or spoke to seem to think he is good from the games he was in charge.

if people got on ma's back before he has even took charge then i think you should be ashamed.

also people need to stop making stuff up. what do you feel you gain from it?

How do you know its not? At least his record, the clubs disarray and the two previous failed identical appointments before him put facts on my side. You are relying on hope and blind optimism....again. I am all out of optimism and the herd mentality. Venkys incompetence has broken my football spirit.

Unbelievable.

I wasn't happy about BRAG's statement yesterday and again a so called "group leader" comes out and tells the world what supporters are thinking.

Bad timing before a game.

One thing I do agree with in the report is "It's not up to fans really to make statements about management decisions "

Correct Wayne. So don't.

He was asked his opinion and gave it.

Like MG Road said. It is 40% for and 60% against. How does anyone know this is a terrible appointment? don't give me the @#/? about his win ratio either.
Not sure about that. I'd suggest...

60% "against" - Would rather keep Bowyer (in a straight choice)

5% "for" - being kind

35% "apathetic" - What choice do we have? We just have to get on with it.
