CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 The Kean about his win ratio? You mean don't tell you the facts about how good a manager he's been? The only Kean around here is the set of sorry excuses and irrelevant rubbish some are coming up with to try and justify this appointment.Well regarded in football - Irrelevant. Strong character - who cares Tough circumstances - and didn't triumph over them. Young manager - means nothing Blackpool fans think he's good - so what? All that is the real Kean, a fog of nonsense trying to disguise his poor record. When he takes over here I don't want to hear excuses about how difficult it is working with the 3 stooges, how Venkys have given him no money to spend in January, how the players respect him, how he interviews well. Its all complete Kean, all I wanna see is us winning enough matches to make the play-offs minimum. Bowyer has won 3 out of 3 so its more than possible. Appleton's record gives no inidcation he is capable of doing it and the idiots in charge of this club are probably about to throw away another season, and £50m in TV money along with it. So much nonsense in this I cant even be bothered to pick it apart. What would you have said if Bowyer had been made manager before the last three games? I for one will be supporting him, hope he can get us in the play-offs, automatic promotion would be a miracle from here.

G Somerset Rover Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Signed....done.Announcement will probably be over the weekend or Monday. I'd imagine it will still be tonight...as per what Cryer said earlier.
Torgeir Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Got to give him a chance, but the circus still runs daily shows. Is he bringing Westwood with him?
Kelbo Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Got to give him a chance, but the circus still runs daily shows. Is he bringing Westwood with him? Ranolph? christ I hope not
ABBEY Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 maybe because of the match tonight and being respectful to Bowyer. (though these days i don't expect rovers to do anything respectfully)Or they could be doing it at the match. VENKYS DONT DO RESPECT!

Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 So much nonsense in this I cant even be bothered to pick it apart. What would you have said if Bowyer had been made manager before the last three games? I for one will be supporting him, hope he can get us in the play-offs, automatic promotion would be a miracle from here. If he'd been made permanent manager before even taking charge of 1 game? Pretty much what I'm saying now, utter stupidity. Although no record is better than a poor one, at least there wasn't already proof that Bowyer is mediocre at best as there is with Appleton. I'll support him at games, I always support everyone at games. But on an opinions message board I don't mind saying my opinion is I'm absolutely disgusted with the appointment.
Stuart Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I believe there is someone we would all want:Topmans Avatar! Nah, I'm not a fan of Villarreal...
Clitherover Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 blue and white you are starting to sound like a stuck record I had to laugh out loud when I read this. Pot, kettle and black mate.
bypass06 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Oyston: Appleton move money-motivated http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,,16428_8391146,00.html

Hehe, he'd have said the same about Bowyer wouldn't he, because he was an unknown quantity too. It would have been completely guesswork to know if he was any good or not, as it is Appleton.
onlyonejackwalker Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I feel certain sources in the club are deliberately sending incorrect info to the supporter groups to rile the fans again Appleton before he has begun. Not fair and not right. Appleton is the opposite of Kean, he is honest and has shown loyalty to a club in a dire situation. I genuinely hope he does well but he needs time. 10 games is certainly not time to judge, he will need til start of next season. Yeah he has just shown huge loyalty to Blackpool. Any truth in the TeamTalk rumour about senior players trying to intervene and make Bowyer manager instead of Appleton? Not sure, but after CKR's comment on Twitter I would not be in anyway suprised by this. Hehe, he'd have said the same about Bowyer wouldn't he, because he was an unknown quantity too. It would have been completely guesswork to know if he was any good or not, as it is Appleton. SKH is advocating an experienced manager, not Bowyer. It's always a gamble with any new manager, its just nice to minimise the risks if at all possible. Our 5th man in charge already this season. Good luck to the lad but I have my doubts it will work out, especially and most importantly if the players rebel against the appointment in anyway.
Backroom DE. Posted January 11, 2013 Backroom Posted January 11, 2013 Officially announced. Welcome to the madhouse, and good luck... you're going to need it, pal.
