Appointed Friday, New PR company in today, press conference set for tomorrow, press conference cancelled, press conference now wednesday apparently............Appleton changed his mind???? Kean gonna pop his head through the press room door on Wednesday and shout "I'm the next Mourinho"!!!??? Another amateurish episode??? Something simple like they got the tea order wrong???

My brother, who is a football journo, and covers Blackpool, tells me that Oyston insisted that Appleton wear long sleeve shirts at press conferences as his multiple tattoos made him look like "a crim" !!

But Berg was absolutely atrocious, being better than him isn't good enough, being miles better than him might be.

Drawing games isn't good enough either. Kean, Black and Bowyer have shown this isn't a difficult league to win games in with the players we have. 14 points from 12 games with Blackpool was it? You'd have to add 10 onto that points tally to get more like where we should be aiming at, anything less than play-offs is a disaster this season and its about time we started treating it as such and stopped acting like a charity for struggling managers.

He´s Rovers manager whether you or I like it or not. We don´t really have much choice but to support him as he has been appointed now. Unless Appleton is a success we will not be promoted.

Just a bit weird to announce a conference, cancel it, and reschedule within a day. Surely they knew of training schedules etc ahead of time.

Why do we need to have a press conference to announce Appleton? We all know he is our new manager.

Because...Appleton's relegated Portsmouth and done worse than Holloway at Blackpool? Its hilarious that anyone thinks this guy is even close to being a good manager. Well, it would be hilarious except we've already been through all this once with Berg, now its just boring and very weird that many fans are failing to grasp the similarities.

I think administration and points deduction played a huge roll in pompey being relegated.

2) Mrs D is putting the final touches to the new 4 year plan after the last one (that she wrote all on her own with no help from any football agency) went slightly off target, she will announce at Appleton's Presser

3) The Pune massive want to actually meet and find out who they have appointed before announcing it

4) Appleton getting treatment for his inability to stop laughing his head off at his 4x pay rise
