That's actually very odd. When posters in the past have asked for their accounts to be removed, I'm sure they were told it wasn't possible. Maybe it's a feature of the new software.

Maybe its a feature of the new Rovers Appleton's PR Company - comes under a section on their website Crisis Management :)

I'm more intrigued in the disappearance of MG Road the man who claimed this deal was done and dusted 5 days earlier . Account shut down , all post removed

Why does this fact irk you so much Glen, is it because at this time you were still saying no chance it was Appleton and that you'd quite the action group if it was another inexperienced manager? You've bought it up a couple of times now like its something that never happens. Did you hear the new Southampton managers comments today that he knew the squad well as he'd been researching the team for the last 7 weeks, do you think that was just a strange coincidence?

You were out ITK'd ;)

But I will agree that it's odd the account has gone, had no idea but its no secret that he was someone who knew some things so guessing he's decided it's best to step back. Maybe he was outed, who knows.

Derek Shaw has just confirmed on radio lancs that Anderson, SEM Kentaro etc...etc have absolutely nothing to do with Appleton.

I remember reading a tweets from various people claiming otherwise.

For crying out loud he hasn't even got an agent !!!

Agnew spoke as well and SHOCK HORROR they actually came across as...how can I describe it (its been that long since I have heard something like this come out of ewood so bear with me).....NORMAL ? SENSIBLE ?

Yes ladies and gentleman. I've had a long day and I probably need a lie down but I actually thought they spoke some sense (tin hat on let the shooting commence). Either that or I have been kidnapped by aliens and I have been brain washed (queue x files music dooo dooo dooo dooo)

Not at all , whilst I ain't interested in Southampton.

For your info quite a lot of the message board is fully aware who he is , so not a case of being outed .

Just find it strange he disappears all of a sudden and closes his account down .

Outed may have been the wrong word Glen. Maybe he just decided that it was more hassle than its worth being here.

Still stand by my comments that its very very common for deals to be done before things go through the official route.

I've no doubt MG knew what he was on about on this one whilst others were still in the dark.

Being lied to constantly for the last 2 years hasn't had much of an impact then?

Paul Agnew " Believe me , the club isn't in turmoil" - Enough Said

"We THINK we know what we are doing. We do. Genuinely"

So they genuinely THINK they know what they are doing and not pretend think??

He also confirms the old hag is coming

Peter Beagrie is - "Baffled by Blackburn"

"I hope Blackburn don't have to employ a fourth permanent manager this season - but I certainly wouldn't bet against it."

The question in that article, it would seem, was asked by the League of Gentlemen's Steve Pemberton.

Good start BUT

How did Appleton talk directly to the owners? Somebody set that up.

Why is Appleton given Kean-like power and not Berg-like victimhood. Somebody set that up.

I wouldn't be surprised that Shaw and/or Agnew suggested where to send it. Anyway, I'm pretty bored with all the 'grassy knoll' suggestions. Time to concentrate on our new manager doing well and not bother about the rest for a little while - please?

Micheal Appleton requested the new PR company invovlment in rovers, he has previously worked with them.

So not a Venky's desicion.

Just found this aswell...

DS stated that the club had received a large number of CVs from potential managers for the process originally, prior to Henning Berg’s appointment. A few new CVs had been received for the second process. Michael Appleton had been one of about 10 CVs sent to the owners in Pune originally. The final decision on this appointment had been made in India.

Let us look at this logically - previous PR advice was for the owners to "lie low" and avoid the wrath of the fans. All would be well when results got better. Appoint a former player and the fans will love the owners again. Does this sound like Shebby or is it just me?

Cue a manager that on his original application stated that he would not tolerate much @#/? from advisors. Owners talk to said man who states clearly that a huge issue is the infighting and shocking public relations that have resulted from that whilst the owners are being castigated for being completely @#/? clueless, not caring and at the same time being scheming masterminds...

It's not hard to see why a suggestion for a fresh approach to PR would be welcomed seeing as shebby is burned and Agnew is just about capable of publishing the match programme...

Maybe they will recommend a theme song: "let's face the music and dance"

With all due respect (which always means with no respect whatsoever) to Peter Beagrie, a poor mans Wilcox at best, I'd rather listen to Gary Bowyer.

Oh and guess what? He's gone back to his day job in football. Bowyer could impart more knowledge about BRFC and the game in 5 minutes than the likes of Beagrie and fellow his fellow 'expert' Sky pundits, e.g. Merson.

Still it pays well, but really? Peter, you know feck all about Rovers, nor do you give a damn. If you did you'd have spoken out this time last season. Best not to bite the hand that feeds you though eh?

Anyway, Appleton. Right behind you fella. Get em playing and fired up. Use the entire squad please! No silly subs or non use of subs. Listen to no one other than the people you trust. Choose them wisely.

Best of luck. Home win.

Oh and tell the players that the 'Venkys out' chants aren't a reflection on you or them, but are from two years of utter frustration at the idiocy of our owners who see fit to actually attend a game for once.

I'm prepared to give Appleton a chance (as with all new managers we have had), its really up to him and the team to give us something to believe in now.

I guess the majority of people are tired of the whole "get behind the team, get behind the manager" stuff that goes on and need the team and the management to keep their part of the deal...

Exactly right. It is way beyond time that the club (owners, directors, manager, and players) need to ALL get their heads in order, and for the first time in over two years start to behave as any normal football club, and give their long suffering fans what they want to see and enjoy. Viz: a properly run football club with all those involved pulling in the same direction.

And in the unlikely event that the Venkys are inclined that way (or even capable of it), then, and only then, will peace and stability return to Ewood Park. to say nothing of the many hundreds/ thousands of stay-away supporters like myself.

There is the challenge for Mrs D and the brothers........during your visit this wekend, just have a good look around, then go away into a quiet room and have a serious think about it. The future of BRFC is in your hands. Only you can rectify the many, many serious mistakes that have been made over the last two years. And by the same logic only you have the power to stop the rot, and the inevitable slide into oblivion. The choice is yours. Please make the right one.
