Whilst he has to take his share of the blame I still point the finger at the players first today. I do like what he said after the game I just hope he acts on it

He was right to stick with the same team and let people prove their worth or otherwise, his decision at half time to mix it up with Kazim going central worked brilliantly at first but that's where the positives end for him today as the subs weren't great, Rochina should have been hauled off earlier.

The players are a massive problem, they are spineless and pathetic but if he can't get them on his side he's going to have a real problems

Ship out the slackers ASAP Michael

It's all well and good to say 'ship out the underperformers' ... but who exactly is going to buy them?

It ain't gonna be easy to find somebody willing to pay Danny Murphy £35k a week, MGP 40k a week, Etuhu 30K a week, Dann 30k a week, etc etc.

Could end CKR's loan deal early, I guess, but that's about it.

Meanwhile the 'replacements' will probably end up being even worse than those shipped out.

Spot on. Players love an excuse not to put a shift in these days and the revolving manager door seems to give them the perfect one. We need a squad now who have something to prove. Oh and a centre half who can win a header after a cross wouldn't go amiss either.

Yeah, but who's buying our underachievers?

Well Olsson is wanted if we can squeeze every penny for him then get shut

Otherwise we will probably be stuck with the rest

I was back with hope & half season ticket in hand.

Hoped for a New manager "reaction".

Got more of the same.

Freakish poor excuse of owners. Players lacking any desire or direction. A dire display of football at home in front of a crowd numbed by what the lunatics have done to their club. A rank bad day at Ewood.

Is Appleton the man to turn it around?

I hope so, but then again he's a novice in a world of poo.

I hate Venkys.

His interview after is encouraging. His halftime talk/switch worked tactically then we lost shape. The subs didn't stop the players trying and in theory Gamst should deliver a few balls Into the box. Not a disaster tactically but he either has to win over the squad or bring in his own players.

In this regard i wonder if Orr could help him?

Well whether this is true or just speculation but a gent in the EWMC was telling who wanted to hear that on Monday the players returned to Ewood with glum faces after their training session with Mr Appleton who told them all that they were no way fit,(we all know that) if they didn't like what was going to happen see him and he would arrange for them to leave (hoping that bit is true), maybe that was behind yesterday's performance i really don't know, lets see what changes he makes for Tuesday, Oh and here's the highlight, Venkys will not be here next season, here's hoping.

They weren't really performing well, they were just performing better tan they had previously.

Three wins and a draw being undefeated in four games was satisfactory enough for me and I think everyone else.

It now looks like money is the main agenda with results a secondary issue.

Someone told me yesterday that Appleton has had them in for some double sessions this week, told them that they are not fit enough (in harsher words than that !) and it didn't go down too well.

I don't know whether this is correct or not, however, hope it is and that he continues to kick ass because IMO, yesterday's attitude and performance was feckin disgraceful.

Built myself up for two wins this week to set us up for a good finish. We watch a very mediocre Charlton side, and bang, it was a disgraceful performance from the players, they certainly haven't taken to Appleton from this showing.

What we dont know is what has been said to them, the players, but its obviously had a damaging effect on them.

I really hope this is true, his words post match implied that he would be selling/purchasing some players based on that performance, truly dire but its going to get worse before it gets better IMO.

I think it will be very difficult to off load most of our players !!

Not much call for past it journeymen and 1st division footballers !

Dropping down a division or 2 on their wages will not happen ....

Where is Shebby Singh ?

I agree with that. the players are not good enough Fitness wise. we tired after 70 mins. If Appleton want us to pressure teams high up the pitch and play high tempo game then Fitness levels will have to go up big time. Plus desire and commitment will aswell.

Kaz and Rochina was very poor yesterday and both have apologize on twitter to the fans. so good to see that they realise performance was not good enough.

Appleton needs to make changes to the squad certainly but I would expect 3 or 4 players in and 3 or 4 players out.

this morning we have been linked again with Craig Dawson from WBA(CB) and Bentley from Spurs. and Karim Rekik from Man City. 18 years old who play for MA at Portsmouth last season

I'd do the same thing. Tomorrow morning you get every player stood on the half way line. " All those really want to play for this club, take one paces forward . The rest go and train on your own, I'll get you fixed up away from here as soon I can ".

Haha can imagine that ruffled a few feathers. With the exception of Rhodes, Henley and Jake Kean the others can all feck off if they don't like being proper professionals. It may knock performances in the short term but we ain't ever getting promoted/playoffs this season so would rather get the personnel and culture in the club sorted out this season to mount a decent push next term round.

Or at the least be mid table with a load of young hungry lads who we can get behind and support...
