[Archived] Venky's, including Mrs D., in town this week ?

I love the positivity of people thinking we'll be sold to a shining knight in armour.

The majority of championship clubs are a far better investment than us. We're a far far less attractive option than we were when the walker trust sold us.

Also do you really think Venkys will just cut their losses and walk away with nothing? That's the only way someone might actually consider taking the club off them.

Did I say that Ricky....I think not.

Those sub-5000 types simply cannot understand why other supporters can't be like them. "Just get behind the team"; "the supporters are part of the problem"; "if we just back the manager and the players then we can win matches".

I agree but certainly don't think they want to be malicious with this attitude its just head in the sand and hoping without logic or evidence everything will be fine.

To put it another way they're turnstile fodder. Turn up whatever, cheer whatever, pay their money whatever. They just get taken advantage of by ignorant know nothing owners preying on often decent people's misguided loyalty. Shame. The whole situation makes me feel sick.

You are probably right Matt. Reminds of the head in the sand " it will never happen to me" attitude of some to the threat of fascism prior to WW2.

Those saying that throwing snowballs are not on etc need a reality check - throughout this horrible chapter, our fans have been restrained all things considered. Even the 'vicious' abuse of Kean wasn't that bad.

If this happened to some other clubs, there would have been a good chance of the Rao family being charged at and lynched yesterday.

I think that the relationship between the fans and the owners is broken to such an extent that it is unrepairable (all the fault of Venky's).

Current situation is untenable, the vast majority of fans are totally keaned off with it all, strangely I felt more angry today than I did when we got relegated, it was a spontaneous anger which came out if no where. Very weird feeling.

Anyway I feel that come may when we haven't gone up then they will sell the club.

Sell to who though, Kamy?

If Venkys thought they could do what they liked and 20,000 supporters would just bend over then they picked the wrong club. We simply don't gave a big enough fan base.

I've just watched the two videos. I have to say the fans outside the ground were remarkably restrained, the Raos got off very lightly yesterday.

Turning up in a Rolls Royce plated R4AJA - have these people not one jot of common sense? Does no one advise them? A couple of black Mercs or Beamers would do the job. As for rolling up like royalty before the game, it's jaw dropping arrogance on their behalf. The Raos should have entered the ground quietly a couple of hours before kick off. Yesterday's behaviour on their part was disgusting, acting as though they were visting dignataries or heads of state!

Exactly .. They should of been in the ground having a bit of snap like owners do. They 100% were being guarded by the met .the way they rolled up was exactly like they think they are superstars.

Like many here I've stood cheering my team on in the old second division with little or no thought let alone chance of promotion. Did it matter? did it heck because the people running the club were folk you knew, folk who cared about the community the club was in. Yes, they hoped for a bit out of it but basically they were there because it was their club too. Seeing the video of the Raos turning up yesterday shows how little they care. We always knew they didn't but that was the confirmation of their arrogance, their stupidity, their failure to learn anything worth learning over the last 2 to 3 years. It might impress some people but it sure as anything doesn't impress the majority of us who have seen things go from bad to worse to even more disgraceful than we ever imagined. I heard lots of fans saying yesterday when I left the ground that that was the worst they had ever seen and I had to agree. I've seen worse playing performances, but never anything as absolutely passionless. If you'd put me on that pitch I'd have done more running than the whole lot put together yesterday. Pedersen takes a lot of stick on here but it was noticeable that when he got on the pitch he wanted the ball and ran (even if it was ineffectual) more than Murphy would have done if he'd still been on the pitch now. Yes, I know running about isn't the be all and end all, but it does show whether you can be bothered or not. every time the ball went forward for Charlton they were there in numbers - we often had one in the box. every time they lost the ball they ran to close down players; we ambled. Heartless and hopeless.

Cultural? Elite v Untouchables?

If they had wanted to thumb their noses at fans or create a reaction, they couldn't have done a better job.

Which makes me wonder, is this part of a PR-led exit strategy? "The fans drove them away". Trouble is, some fans will buy it.

Did anyone recognise the snowball throwers as locals? Were they seen talking to anyone unusual before they did the deed? ;)

Whoever it was, they would have been caught on tape - the amount of cameras facing away from Ewood Park was huge.

I wouldn't think that the Venky's would persue any 'assault by snowball' and I can hardly see the CPS allowing it to proceed any further than arrest and release without charge.

Fair play to those that gave the Raos grief yesterday – especially the snowballer chucker. That was dynamite!

However, there's zero chance of Venky's selling anytime soon. They've got £16m of parachute payments to pocket this year and the next. And there's the £60m carrot of promotion back to the premier league to half-heartedly chase this year and next.

Yesterday's events are unlikely to change their stance, except I doubt they'll ever visit Ewood again. I expect them to just go through the motions for the next couple of years – from 8,000 miles away – and only exit when there's nothing else for them to hoover up.

Strap yourselves in. This rollercoaster's going to do a few more laps yet.

And thats their biggest problem along with total incompetance, Arrogance, they are an arrogant and idiotic bunch, as for someone saying does no one advise them, they wont allow anyone to advise them, they know best, even in football of which they have little or no knowledge!!

What a terrible image it was at Ewood Park yesterday staring out towards the Jack Walker stand with the team two-one down, on sixty five minutes, and the whole Venky entourage get up from their seats directly above the tunnel, leave, with the final person switching the lights off for that area a minute or so later.

It just sent out a signal of a dark, empty, uncaring image of the club from the so called owners.

The club has to come back into Blackburn hands and start again.

Showed a massive lack of respect .

We often bump into Dave whelan when we go to warriors games. He drives himself and the Mrs to the game in his relatively old s-class, parks up on one of the staff car park and walks to the ground having banter as he goes. Contrast that to these muppets and their fleet of rollers. Idiots the lot of then.

They have no respect for us mere mortals Abbey, they really believe they are superior, I ask you, people from a third world country believing such a thing, most Indians live in primitive conditions, then there are the wealthy who live to totally different standards.

On a recent cruise, our cabin steward told me the wage of many in India is around £12.00 per week, they look after 15 cabins on a ship and their tips are around £40.00 per cabin on a two week cruise (thats £300 per week in tips alone, all food and accomodation included) they say if they work the ships for 10 years, they can retire!!
