McClarky Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Unfit and wanting probably a fortune, we have enough of them already thanks. Great player 3 or 4 years ago.
DanLad Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Unfit and wanting probably a fortune, we have enough of them already thanks. Great player 3 or 4 years ago. We play one up front and we already have Rhodes and Best coming back. With Saha you are looking at a great player about 7 or 8 years ago. He's been a crock since.
LeChuck Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 How many clubs succeed in this division by playing ancient crocks like Saha? It's not what the division is about.
CapeTownRover Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 experienced championship players needed!
UpShad Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 experienced championship players needed! Saha is just that
RockinRover Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 We don't need anymore strikers. We have Rhodes, Best, Goodwillie, Gomes and King
roverandout Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 We don't need anymore strikers. We have Rhodes, Best, Gomes and King edited for you
RockinRover Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Goodwillie is available again and has been in the squad a few times recently.
Bundesburn Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Gomes is almost certainly more useful than Saha and he can't even get a look in, so I struggle to see why this would happen.
gumboots Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Goodwillie is available again and has been in the squad a few times recently. Being available and in the squad don't make him a player who should be anywhere near being considered a first team striker
AJW Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Even if we were to play 2 up top , Saha is not the man to play with Rhodes , imo Rhodes needs a strike partner to do the donkey work , to work the channels , to pull c/b's out of position , giving Rhodes more time and space in the box , and i dont think Saha can do that at this stage of his carrer. The problem with only playing Rhodes up front is he consistantly finds himself with 2 c/b's marking him , even if he escapes from 1 another is always close by , i'm looking forward to see if Leon Best can be that foil for him Perversly i would think someone like Jason Roberts (in his pomp) would've been an ideal partner for him
Rovers_Dan Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 another vincenzo grella this one on about 60,000k a week. clown

I see Hull are trying for Frazier Campbell on loan. He would be the sort of striker that could pull defences about and work the channels.
