Gumbi Posted June 25, 2013 Author Posted June 25, 2013 Same as it was since before Agnew got promoted (in fact, since Beamo retired). Greg Coar (one of the good guys). My guess (and I must stress it is a guess) is it's being held back be as no sponsor had been announced yes (so we have to assume the deal isn't finalised) and the sponsorship deal is worth a lot more if they know their logo is going to be on 100% of all replica shirts. The club were still saying this week on twitter yesterday. They will have to show it by the end of next week at the latest as we have our first pre season match on the 6th.

BigUts Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 They did. Rovers XI game against a non-league if I remember correctly?! Maybe Stalybridge?
Backroom Tom Posted June 25, 2013 Backroom Posted June 25, 2013 They did. Rovers XI game against a non-league if I remember correctly?! Maybe Stalybridge? They certainly hadnt officially revealed the away kit before they wore it at Morecambe Nice little double header game that wish they would do it again
Glenn Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 They did. Rovers XI game against a non-league if I remember correctly?! Maybe Stalybridge? It was a youth game at Kendal (well, somewhere similar, south lakes, I'm sure ParsonBlue will know). We had the first pics of it as somebody there texted me (bad) pics of it about 5 mins into the game.
graddomi88 Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Here's another new training top, from Edinho Junior's Instagram account. Another picture from Raheem Hanley.
rog of the rovers Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Nice top. Navy/Black border around the badge? A subtle change, but I like it, maybe we'll see this replicated on the kits?
CapeTownRover Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 would somebody be able to maybe show those 2 pics some other way? it doesnt want to show up on my side. I have tried to right click, and then show picture, but nothing
windymiller7 Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I like the back-to-front numbers idea to asist those watching in a mirror!
Mafioso Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I personally like monochrome badges like Man City's last year. Dont know if it could be done with ours since we have green, red yellow etc..
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted June 26, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted June 26, 2013 Here's another new training top, from Edinho Junior's Instagram account. Another picture from Raheem Hanley. Isn't that lad on the right a bit old for braces? Shine a light!
Backroom Tom Posted June 26, 2013 Backroom Posted June 26, 2013 If that's Edinho he played like a 12 year old last season
CapeTownRover Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Well he will be 13 this year Tom, so might have improved
Muddboy Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Impressed with the new Everton kit that Nike unveiled today: http://www.footballshirtculture.com/13/14-kits/everton-2013-2014-nike-home-football-shirt.html If ours is the same style as that, I think it will look cracking. Fingers crossed.
Backroom Tom Posted June 27, 2013 Backroom Posted June 27, 2013 Looking at the arms on the training kit it wouldn't be a surprise if it was similar
CapeTownRover Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 not too bad that Everton kit, however, why does these companies work off one stupid template? why cant a club say, listen, this is the design i want, now go out and make it? We had a few years back, where we could vote for the kit we wanted off 3 different style sheets. That was awesome, i think it might have been during the Lonsdale days, but i speak under correction
chris_h Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 LT reporting that the club hope to unveil a shirt sponsor and that the kit launch is next week. Wonder who the sponsor is? Kudos to Greg Coar if one is sorted, must be like platting sawdust trying to attract a company to shack up with Rovers at the moment.

We had a few years back, where we could vote for the kit we wanted off 3 different style sheets. That was awesome, i think it might have been during the Lonsdale days, but i speak under correction It's a good point, but unfortunately, apparel manufacturing doesn't work like that. For a big client (the Man Us and Barcelonas of this world) manufacturers will do pretty much anything. Companies like Nike ship out huge quantities, so standardising everything as much as possible does a lot for efficiency. You only provide a more bespoke service for your more important clients. Lonsdale don't have as much (if, indeed, any) presence. If we were one of their first forays into football kits, they'd have been very flexible. Nike could probably take or leave being our kit supplier and almost certainly entertained the bare minimum of feedback from us. Not a slight on Nike or their designs. I should think they'll do a good job, if the Everton kit is anything to go by. Just the way the apparel game works!
OJRovers Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Was there ever an official reason why we changed to blue and white halves (front and back) rather than quarters? Anyone think it was a mistake that the club didn't notice until it was too late??

justjonny Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/new-nike-era-begins-885787.aspx The new home shirt, I personally love it!
JWUpper Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/new-nike-era-begins-885787.aspx New kit!
Backroom Tom Posted June 28, 2013 Backroom Posted June 28, 2013 Love it Not sure about the halves switched but understand it and it looks ace overall
sharpysharps Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I would've preferred a red trim but it's still a very nice shirt. Like that the halves have switched to the way round we had them years and years ago
