Cocker Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 If they make a shirt with a collar and the sponsor isnt a sticker I will buy it.
T.J.Newton Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I'm really not a fan(and wont wear) clingy feather light shirts, they look good on players, but on your average joe with an extra few pounds around the waistline(or a a skinny&boney body) there pretty ugly looking and also the static from them drives me nuts.
Stuart Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 If they make a shirt with a collar and the sponsor isnt a sticker I will buy it. Who's good at photoshop? Brazil 2013/14
Gumbi Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 I'm assuming they'll be generic Nike Teamwear designs that have been recoloured that the likes of Everton and all the Football League teams that have Nike kits use.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted February 8, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted February 8, 2013 I don't think anyone has set this up as such, Umbro were a company of Nike anyway i think? Sure Umbro have been sold on and Nike are taking up the supply of technical gear for football teams previously working with Umbro. England kits also following this trend... Correct. Nike own Umbro, and a few formerly Umbro sponsored kits are now going to be done by Nike- England, Citeh and now us.
Derby Blue Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Haven't Nike just bought Umbro? I don't think it's been setup more really a continuation of the current deal.., Nike have just sold Umbro last year http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-20075681 Thats why all the Umbro kit business is reverting to the Nike brand

savage90 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Anyone know if you can get this years kit with the Probiz sponsor on?
Proudtobeblue&white Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Their badge was up advertised in the club shop last Sat at the shirt/number counter, so I presume so.
Hughesy Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Why do people always knock the club even on the small things? Its just a continuation?? No its a new deal that lasts for 3 years!
Gav Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Another big step in the right direction as far as i'm concerned, well done to whoever it was at ewood that set this one up.Couldn't agree more.
ChesterRover Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 If its in the same style as Galatasarays current Nike shirt then I'd be very happy, that template could make a blue and white masterpiece http://www.sportsdirect.com/nike-galatasaray-home-shirt-2012-2013-377778
Guest Norbert Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Couldn't give a crap which faceless, mass market multinational makes our kit as long as the shirt looks good. It all comes from the same Chinese sweatshop anyway.
old darwen blue Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 If its in the same style as Galatasarays current Nike shirt then I'd be very happy, that template could make a blue and white masterpiece http://www.sportsdirect.com/nike-galatasaray-home-shirt-2012-2013-377778 Fully agree with that opinion. Any computer experts out there to oblige with a mock up?
john.leigh Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Don't like the back view of the Gala shirt...
Stuart Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 If its in the same style as Galatasarays current Nike shirt then I'd be very happy, that template could make a blue and white masterpiece http://www.sportsdirect.com/nike-galatasaray-home-shirt-2012-2013-377778 Not sure about the two-colour collar but could be persuaded.Definitely not pleased with the back!
perthblue02 Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Why do people always knock the club even on the small things? Its just a continuation?? No its a new deal that lasts for 3 years! Would the original contract not have been with Nike anyway , on behalf of its subsidiary company Umbro? So in effect its an extension in all but name as its taking over an existing contract due to the sale of a subsidiary company as is the contract for the England shirts. Granted the people at the club must be given credit for getting the paperwork done and back in time but lets not go overboard in thinking that they went out and negotiated this deal with Nike whilst fighting off Adidas, Puma etc. Now lets see if Nike can get the four quarters of the shirt in the right order
Backroom Tom Posted February 9, 2013 Backroom Posted February 9, 2013 Pretty sure the original Umbro contract was until 2016 so Nike are simply continuing it as they are doing with other teams who had Umbro
Derby Blue Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Pretty sure the original Umbro contract was until 2016 so Nike are simply continuing it as they are doing with other teams who had Umbro correct, Umbro had a deal until 2016 http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/new-sponsor-for-blackburn-rovers_10015 Not knocking the club at all but surely no hard work was done to reach an agreement with Nike if it was already in place? I can't see that the sale of Umbro by Nike rendered the currect deal null and void.

Andy Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I like Nike, always been a decent brand and made some good shirts. Let's see what they come up with in the summer...
had.e.nuff Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 If its in the same style as Galatasarays current Nike shirt then I'd be very happy, that template could make a blue and white masterpiece http://www.sportsdirect.com/nike-galatasaray-home-shirt-2012-2013-377778 Galatasarays shirt would make a good away kit for us
