Brfcrule1 Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Ive done 3 more away kits I'd actually really like it if they did what they did a few years ago and let us as fans vote on the kits That's great Kyle out of these 3 I actually like the 2nd one red shirt black sleeves with the probiz sponsor in a blue box works well. Tom do you know how long the sponsor deal with probiz lasts for? & is there any chance in the future we will have Kingfisher as our sponsor thought the mock up looked good and the beer is really nice too.
Ben-2000 Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Probiz sponsorship expires now... but there is a good chance it could be renewed for the coming season.
Majiball Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I wouldn't be so hasty. New contract for sponsorship needs sorting and a new manager as well, don't forget it will involve using complicated items like telephones and we lack that expertise at Rovers. I'm not too sure they'll get it sorted as it sounds like a lot of work. They'll probably spend two days deliberating how should pick up the phone and who should dial the numbers.
Stuart Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 The fact Probiz are already involved should make it easier. Plus they can probably hold the club to ransom over the fee given how desperate we are likely to be!
Majiball Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Nothings easy at Rovers anymore, christ we can't even sack someone for gross misconduct. We'll most likely end up paying Probiz 10M quid a year over the 1000 for us to display their logo on our shirt.
rog of the rovers Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/galatasaray-nike-home-shirt-201314_19591 This is blue and white would be delightful
T.J.Newton Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/galatasaray-nike-home-shirt-201314_19591 This is blue and white would be delightful looks pretty typical/generic to me, I don't see why they cant add at least a little touch of originality to football shirts(especially rovers shirts), For the price they charge you can buy a smart quality regular shirt(or 2) in high street clothes shops(that are likely manufactured for the same price or less) 'Kyles' black&red away designs are very cool(and simple)
Al Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Never been a decent away shirt since the red and black halves. That one was brilliant and would sell like hot cakes if we went back to it.
Stuart Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Never been a decent away shirt since the red and black halves. That one was brilliant and would sell like hot cakes if we went back to it.+1The best away shirt we've had - and never went on sale... apparently for commercial reasons.
cn174 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I think we'll be getting nikes bargain basement style kits so not holding any hopes for originality.
perthblue02 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I think we'll be getting nikes bargain basement style kits so not holding any hopes for originality. Yeah think you might be right , be one of these Harlequin III (halfway down page) ones probably http://www.sportsleisurewear.com/nike-football-team-kits.htm, with the North End style 3rd kit becoming the 2nd kit chosen by snake and piggy
tkturner Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I can see that harlequin effort being used for sure... I dont think it looks too bad to be fair? The Galatasaray shirt posted earlier would also be a decent effort in our colours...
perthblue02 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Yeah would look ok with the halves the right way round and continued on the back, can't really see Rovers being that high on the Nike priority list , just hope our experienced board have remembered to put the order in wouldn't look good playing in skins against nob end pre season although can think of a couple who'd love it.
bob fleming Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 +1 The best away shirt we've had - and never went on sale... apparently for commercial reasons. Are you sure?!? I'm sure i bought one. still got it somewhere. Bit snug now mind. Bloody dryer. As for the new kits, I read on twitter, jimwilkz, a few days ago that the halves are the right way round on the back this time. Hurrah! That the away shirt is red with a white pin stripe on the left through the badge. We shall see, probably around Sept when Shaggers and Venkys wake up and Singh's after dinner speaking starts again.
Darmond Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Surely the first season in the Premier (red / black even stripes, black collar & white "McEwans") was our best away kit? Still use mine sometimes too.
Stuart Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Are you sure?!? I'm sure i bought one. still got it somewhere. Bit snug now mind. Bloody dryer. You might have a Bet24 one...
bob fleming Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 You might have a Bet24 one... Ach, of course. Attention to detail on my part. It's been a long week.
Guest Norbert Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I just hope I still have my 1995-96 season one. Not bought one since, as I hated that nylon or whatever they made the shirts out of in those days. You'd sweat like Gary Glitter in a Vietnamese orphanage in the summer, but freeze your nipples off in the winter.

Stuart Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 New England kit being compared to West Germany one from the 70s. Not really sure about that effort but if it's the template for the Rovers shirt then lets hope the collar is blue or red. Although I could see it being white. Wonder if they'll confirm ours any time soon? Perhaps we'll have Bowyer unveiled as manager, wearing the new shirt and clutching a season ticket application form. Although thinking about it maybe our managers should really only apply for half season ones. Anyone seen this anywhere else...?

Probably a mock up, but the Rovers one looks looks extremely nice nonetheless imo. Is that really the new England one? Looks bloody awful. Looks like a 3 quid T shirt from Sports Direct.
