This is an attempt by me to chronicle all the late goals conceeded in the Venkys era.

Rules

• The goals have to come with less than 5 minutes to go of normal time. (85 mins - final whistle)
• Cost Rovers either the victory or a draw
• League and Cup games

What about this season at home v leicester, Barnsley and Watford? They were pretty late on.

Added the goals for now. Leicester was 79th minute. Closest other goal was Ruben's equaliser at Leeds - 84th minute.

Added cup goals now, both for and against.

If we had of held on in the 4 games this season (Derby - Huddersfield - Burnley - Brighton) and been 8 points better off, we'd be 7th, 3 points off the playoffs.

Thats not including throwing away leads at Ipswich (83rd minute), Charlton, a two goal lead at Leeds and a lead at home against Birmingham!

No I'm subtracting the times when we gained points in the later stages too.

You can't just count the points you lost without also counting the points you gained.

I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong, but showing Rovers in isolation is meaningless unless you compare it to the relative records of other clubs. Even Man Utd let a last gasp goal in last weekend that cost them points, ditto City (against Utd) recently.

When Hughes took over - he blamed lack of fitness for lack of concentration. Last night was just a daft decision by the freshest player on the pitch.

The squad lacks both the mentality and the leadership to make an impact in this league. Though it can only take a few shrewd additions to make things click......a speedie and a cowans so to speak
