onlyonejackwalker Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Go on the Rovers! Following on from the Brighton game I am very pleased with this result and hopefully a clean sheet as well.
chaddyrovers Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 sounds like a excellent win for us today. Kaz and Markus Olsson have been really good for us. Pleased that Appleton has got his first win as Rovers manager Appleton blue and white army!!!
Majiball Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 In the Cold Everything can happening, don't blame anyone pure injury, things like that happen. ARE SEROUSLY A NUTTER OR A SMACKHEAD? In the Cold Everything can happening, don't blame anyone pure injury, things like that happen. It's hardly that cold and players do do warm-ups. He's obviously been rushed back before he's ready.
Mark Atkins' Bald Patch Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Zero shots on or off target for derby according to the BBC. Sounds promising.
Devon Rover Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Very good result. More importantly than getting through to the 5th round, perhaps this will give the team some confidence to go on a little run. Important week in the transfer market now...
imy9 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 What a fantastic result and performance vs a team who have lost only two games at home this season. This is what I meant by onwards and upwards Jim lol
levi Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 pathetic result i can't believe they didn't go on to score more appleton out
neophox Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Ipswich, Burnley, Charlton and Wolves all losing against lowly sides today....in the Championship!
Backroom Tom Posted January 26, 2013 Backroom Posted January 26, 2013 Fantastic result now let's build on this and the Brighton performance next week
jim mk2 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Good result on my birthday and cheered me up no end. Shame it wasn't a league match.
Stuart Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 Carlsberg don't do match previews but if they did... A reason to be cheerful at last!
jonv Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Scoring 3 and keeping a clean sheet is more that I'd ever hoped for at kick off. A positive result for appletons rovers may we carry this momentum over to the league. Looking forward to the draw, home tie to Luton please
LeChuck Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Perhaps further proof that Appleton is getting us on the right track, great result against a decent Derby team. If it's true that Derby had very few shots then it sounds like he's making us very hard to beat, we gave Brighton very little either. Hopefully he can get a few signings in to address the unbalance because I really believe in what he's doing at the moment.
USABlue Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Brighton doing well against Arsenal 2-2.. Who was said they were a poor side Brighton

bigbrandjohn Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Great result. 3-0 away from home against a good home team. I can always tell when we get a good result. The postings decrease by 50% !!
Backroom DE. Posted January 26, 2013 Backroom Posted January 26, 2013 Sounds like Derby had an absolute shocker. Zero shots on or off target, that's pretty pathetic no matter how good we were. Glad we've gone through, as this is the only competition we have any hope of achieving anything in. If Bradford can get to a final...
OJRovers Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 When's the draw for the 5th round? Luton at home please
RockinRover Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 First win for Appleton and I can't help but feel really good already about his reign. I think the first game was more about the players being upset about Bowyer not getting the job, but they seem to have warmed to Appleton now and that's two games unbeaten. Now we just need to get a run going.
barry_ Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 great result and a good feeling all round. Hope springs.
Lathund Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 3-0 away against a team in our leage with an excellent home record, and by all accounts a well deserved win. Certainly good news! Would've been even better if it was in the league, but a win is a win. As Bradford has shown this season, cup success is possible for anyone. I've pretty much given up on promotion this season anyway; so if we could put together a decent cup run that would give us at least something to be excited about this season. But that's getting ahead of ourselves; we're only in the 5th round so far!
Backroom Tom Posted January 26, 2013 Backroom Posted January 26, 2013 Yep Luton at home would be nice but I expect we'll get someone like Everton away
den Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Happy birthday Jim. Take cup results with a pinch of realism for what this competition is now. However, just the tonic that the players, manager and fans needed. Something to build on.
