[Archived] Rovers Ladies reach Lancs Cup Final & Ando closes in on 200 goals

Rovers Ladies came from a goal down to beat Preston North End 3-1. Rovers will play in the Lancashire Women's Cup FInal for the 10th season in a row after Sunday's win away at Preston Sports Arena.

All Time Leading Scorer Katie Anderton scored 2 goals taking her career total to 197, while rising star Beth Donaghue (England U19) clinched the game with Rovers 3rd.

Rovers will play either Atherton Town or Blackpool Wren Rovers in the final at the County Ground, Leyland..date to be confirmed.

Rovers are yet to announce if the Ladies team is to apply for a place in the expanded FA Women's Super League set up.

Applications are due to the FA sometime in March 2013.

The expanded FAWSL 1 & 2 will play from April to October 2014.
