JAL Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Sadly, after a couple of drinks on a Friday, I get optimistic and start looking forward to the game. Then I go to sleep & wake up to reality....hard earned 1-0, 2-1 win?It should be interesting tomorrow to see from the Ewood faithful if there is any positivity left over from Appleton appointment after what happened with yesterdays shambles.

Oklahoma Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Is Nunes back? He was on the bench in the last game.
Backroom Mike E Posted February 1, 2013 Backroom Posted February 1, 2013 I'm trying to go positive (as always) and struggling a bit. But tbh, we're pretty much the same team as we were last week and we did bloody well. And the Campbell and Thomas deals could still happen via loan and summer purchase? Put it this way, a win 2moz will cheer me up no end.
M-K Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Tony Robinson (from Blackadder) was a regular visitor on match-days. I didn't know that; I hate that man. I live in Bath these days, and a few years ago Time Team came to dig up a patch of land near my old house. The area they displaced in front of the Royal Crescent was repaired within days, but the bit 200m behind that, where they turfed up a huge swathe of grass and murdered a gorgeous old conker tree, was never properly repaired. Although the local pub put up signs saying 'welcome Time Team crew', they never even bothered showing up. The @#/?s found nothing. If he ever shows his face again, I will bury Tony Robinson there. So anything that Robinson is even vaguely connected with, I hope it gets beaten 6-0.
wensley fold junior Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Please, please win against Bristol City so I can go into my local (in Bristol) for a pint tomorrow lunchtime or I will have to stay on the train, coming back from Ewood, until Penzance!
wensley fold junior Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 On second thoughts I notice as we are playing City that lots of Zumerset based Rovers fans are posting. Maybe we could get together and car share to get to Blackburn games or is this already done? Well I say lots but at least M-K and Somerset Rover. As a light note I was sitting in a local one night when we were in the Prem watching Rovers play, I think it was Villa, and we scored. There were only a few people watching, some without much interest, and on doing the usual "Yes!" I heard a chap say to his mate. "There you go, I told you that you weren't the only Blackburn fan. Now cheer up!"
Ewoodbhappy Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I'm hoping to see the foundations of a plan by Appleton. Think we may nick a 2-1 win against an in form Bristol.
BRFC1995 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 hour before KO and all of 3 pages of preview and predictions, how saturdays have changed. 3-3 new manager bounce for them plus 2 shoddy defences
bypass06 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 @CryerRovers According to manager, thursdays shambles will not affect today as team was already picked and ruben, dj and thomas were not starting
pick32 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Orr starts Kean Orr Hanley dann Martin MGP Lowe murphy Marcus CKR Rhodes
Backroom Tom Posted February 2, 2013 Backroom Posted February 2, 2013 We suddenly have no options for the right wing, I'd be tempted to put CKR there but he looked much better up front with Rhodes Looks like it will be Pedersen on the right and Marcus Olsson on the left for the foreseeable then Likely team Kean Orr Dann Hanley Olsson Pedersen Lowe Murphy Olsson 2 Rhodes CKR Usai, Goodwillie, Kane, Gomes, Nunes, Dunn, R Hanley? Thanks Venkys As predicted this is the team Uninspiring but looked good v Brighton
Backroom DE. Posted February 2, 2013 Backroom Posted February 2, 2013 The team is probably good enough to play Bristol City, but I feel sick when I look at it.
G Somerset Rover Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Such a bad midfield on paper! Lets hope it pulls off another Brighton.
Oklahoma Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 We'll win today 2-0. Morris, Kane or Goodwillie coming off the bench with 20 or less minutes to the end of the game...
philipl Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Great preview. Team ought to be good enough but not ruling out yet another home defeat.
Fife Rover Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Just been loking at LT's team news and was surprisd to see another Colin Kazim-Richards listed for Bristol City
Clitherover Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Is it on Radio Lancs?, as usual all I can find is Burnley game on every frequency. Thanks in advance.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Fairly uninspired stuff so far, Peds free kick though skims off bar
Proudtobeblue&white Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 City missed a sitter - v poor first quarter Rhodes peach!
Backroom DE. Posted February 2, 2013 Backroom Posted February 2, 2013 Sounds like we're playing well. Jordan Rhodes, who else? I seem to say it every match thread but I am baffled by the criticism this lad gets. He's a striker, he scores goals.
youandwhosearmy Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Set up by Pederson I see... Say what you want about the lad who he is usually involved in the goals...
Proudtobeblue&white Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 He's class! It's been awful, but his first chance and took it brilliantly.
