broadsword Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 . Lets not forget, we still have a large squad to choose from, particularly when everyone is fit. Mainly populated with no-hopers. Don't suppose it makes any odds, it just highlights how hopeless things are.

roverandout Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 a We dont know the reasons why they didnt go through just yet. I imagine the Odemwingie fiasco ended the Thomas deal (seeing as he played at Everton the other day). Campbell is more confusing. I'm sure (hoping) there is a logical explanation to this. Personally, I dont think were going up this year so happy to see some of the deadwood leave. Lets not forget, we still have a large squad to choose from, particularly when everyone is fit. a large squad of dross
47er Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Given all the incomings and outgoings - I would imagine the staff at Ewood sorting it all are having a little breather at the moment. Which in comings are they then? Chaddy----very quiet, ie non-existent over the last few pages. Admit it, we've had a lousy transfer window ---again. It is never going to get better under Venkys. We are weaker than we were before----haven't got the central defensive mid-fielder we all know we need, haven't got a Moran-type centre-back to strengthen the spine, got rid of light-weight forwards who played bit parts but couldn't replace them with worse players! Got an 18 year old on a free though and stuck with an England goal-keeper we don't play and a French international centre-back we don't play----- both on big wages. This is an unmitigated disaster.
Al Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 We are Keaned. My suspicions re the snowball are confirmed.
Backroom Tom Posted February 1, 2013 Author Backroom Posted February 1, 2013 nothing but asset strippers This seriously worries me now, my thoughts are they may try and flog Rhodes in summer, recoup what they can and then let us rot.
EgyptianPete Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Ah to wake up to hear they have been sacked will be just perfect. Only this time Shebby has had no input into transfers, so its Shaw and Agnew to spit your spleen on, and what about this chap who was brought in to buy sell players head of player recruitment, all a load of @#/?.
Steve Moss Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Me neither once that snowball hit it's target! The snowball prank was seriously stupid.
davefarnworth Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Nice that Jim White brought the news to me ... not. Nobody at the top knows how to deal in important matters. Could sack the directorate but that would be wishful thinking. What a bunch of pencil pushers we have (plus those all-concerning owners in cloud-cuckoo land). Madam probably hasn't got over the snowballing incident yet. Poor MA. On their day there's enough to push for a top half place. I'm not disgusted because we've fallen from grace. Unhappy times.
Al Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 The gates will now drop to depths never more even thought about.
BlueMonday Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 The snowball prank was seriously stupid. Agree. It should of been a hand Grenade!
Cortez Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 We shouldn't be too disheartened as we are pretty much nailed on to be in this division next season. I don't think half a dozen good signings would/could have changed that. Sadly unless there is a massive investment in the summer the situation will not change. As many have commented our squad now is at best of mid table championship standard and requires a major overhaul in almost every department. I am not confident the level of investment required will be available to make us competitive next term. I fear the pre JW days are not too far away. Would that be a bad thing after what has happened over the past months with this lot at the helm? I still think the Venky's intentions are honourable and after each and every cock-up, of which there have been countless, I have convinced myself that surely they cannot make the same mistakes again. To maintain a business empire such as theirs they must have a degree of intelligence between them so why the hell have they never realised that their 'business plan' has failed at almost every hurdle. It is the naively they continue to display which frustrates me so much, they just never seem to learn. Some I know have different views of them and see them in a more sinister light. maybe I am being too kind to them. Either way they continue to demolish one of the most respected, stable and well run clubs in the country. I just hope they are aware of the anger they have engendered amongst the fans.
47er Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Cortez----if you still think that Venkys' intentions are honourable then the naivity is yours.
dwayne cage Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 The thing is poor MA probably actually thought we would be able to push for the play offs
rog of the rovers Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Taken from the Formica thread and updated after todays further cull of Kean signings! Another Kean signing leaves the club! Al Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 The thing is poor MA probably actually thought we would be able to push for the play offs He sould now resign. He as been shafted big time.
davefarnworth Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Hope I'm wrong but believe it's a cultural/elitist mentality. Can bully Indian farmhands and corporate yes men around the world, but untouchables in lowly East Lancs. Kean 'em (tried that with the real Kean)
BlueMonday Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Taken from the Formica thread and updated after todays further cull of Kean signings! What a sorry list that is.
dwayne cage Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 He sould now resign. He as been shafted big time. Wouldnt blame him to be honest. Did McLeish resign today because of the same sort of thing or that just a rumour?
booth Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Before transfer window... "Strengthen, strengthen... Squad is unbalanced... Need three or four players." WTF went wrong? Questions MUST be asked. It just gets worse and worse and worse under the scumbags.
adopted scouser Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 So did this joke of a club sign anyone ?
dwayne cage Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 So did this joke of a club sign anyone ? Not today. Obviously we signed King and loaned Kane
thenodrog Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 The thing is poor MA probably actually thought we would be able to push for the play offs A case of Live by the sword... die by the sword. Appeton sh1t on Blackpools owner and now Blackburns owners have sh1t on him. Can't think anyone connected with the Tangerines will be shedding too many tears. I wonder if this could be Shebby/Balaji's revenge in some way?
Brfcrule1 Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 well Tom if they try there will be riots down at ewood the supporters will not stand for that I think now is the time for the AG to ask the questions of the powers that be what went on and heads need to roll I can just see Appy turning up for work tommorrow and giving a good rollicking to certain people how they could have messed up is just beyond belief & as Kamy states heads need to roll for this latest fiasco and as the players were in the building well before 11pm there is no excuse it also highlights the incompetant administrators we have conducting transfer business at the club and how badly we need more qualified administrative staff who have a good record in concluding transfer deals. I feel sorry for DJ Campbell having to travel hundreds of miles down south back to QPR all because of the incompetent administrative staff who could not organise a p*** up in a brewery! Thoroughly depressed!. The play offs seem very far away now our last ray of hope is probably Best coming in and roughing up a few champ defences and providing the assists for boy wonder to finish off & score a few himself.
