Backroom Mike E Posted January 31, 2013 Backroom Posted January 31, 2013 The number 0161 902 3740 continues to ring my mobile, but a google of this number suggests it's a 'survey comapny'.Any advice on how to stop them calling? 43 times since Monday is absolutely ridiculous.

den Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 You could try registering with these people. http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html
Backroom Mike E Posted January 31, 2013 Author Backroom Posted January 31, 2013 You could try registering with these people. http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html Cheers but they call my mobile. Not applicable to TPS, apparently.
Paul Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 You could try registering with these people. http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html Cheers but they call my mobile. Not applicable to TPS, apparently. Our company mobiles are registered with TPS and we don't get cold calls.
Baz Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 TPS does work on mobiles. It may not stop unscrupulous callers though who ignore TPS. If you register and they continue, then you can report them, and they will be investigated and fined / cut off.
Backroom DE. Posted February 1, 2013 Backroom Posted February 1, 2013 That is ridiculous. Have you tried calling your mobile company? They may be able to block that number from contacting you.
Backroom Mike E Posted February 1, 2013 Author Backroom Posted February 1, 2013 Did that TPS thing and it seems to have worked so far Ta den and Paul and baz. Unlucky DE.

I did that but all that has happened is that they withhold their number so you can't report them. I get a lot from abroad but I have a number recognition on my phone and as soon as I see "International" I just cut them off' Or as soon as an Asian voice comes on I hang up. Why do they always try to tell me they are called Stephen?
