Stuart Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Brave journalism. He deserves a lot of praise for his dignity in the face of potentially horrendous abuse. Lawton Out
Jock Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 They usually get rewarded for keeping their mouths shut. Scummy lot blowing smoke up each others holes. Is the mute Burnley Bob there?

Not drinking pals? It now seems odd the timing of the Harris story. Someone's nose put out?It would be nice for a professional journalist to take a good look at the BRFC / Venkys saga.

I think he's already top dog.I had a soft spot for Brian Woolnough too. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2272949/Sportsmails-Matt-Lawton-wins-England-journalist-award-FA-ceremony.html?ito=feeds-newsxml#axzz2JsH71JvY
frosty Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 The 500 letters he receives every day, from all around the world, also lift his spirits. ‘I try to reply to all of them,’ he says. Hahaha, that never gets old.

I know there's lots of conspiracy theories out there - but - the pesscy fans of BRFC needed to be discredited. If anybody is lost - look back at the links. I wonder?

Talking about Big Sam, no idea why he has the hump.. probably because Kean tells people stories in Hong Kong about why Sam was sacked, and that he discovered sliced bread. Amazing that journalists can be rewarded for buying into that kind of BS...
Amo Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Oliver Holt wins awards, too. The same man who implied the first club to hire a Black Englishman as manager was racist for sacking him.

I could barely read it even now, when that low life is long gone. It still makes my blood boil how one sided the whole argument was from a huge section of the press.

Guest Norbert Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Perhaps we shouls send him over 500 letters to congratulate him for winning this award.
thenodrog Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Just another journo who lives in the Fat Controllers arse pocket! Matt Lawtons Dad was a knobstick too if I'm not mistaken. Sucked up to ManU in the Express for years I seem to recall.
SydneyRover Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Calling Matt Lawton a Steve Kean apologist is like calling Joseph Goebbels a Hitler apologist.
Backroom Mike E Posted February 5, 2013 Backroom Posted February 5, 2013 Think Ince had a job before he came to us What? Ince managed Macclesfield & MK Dons before us.. Keith Alexander? Leroy Rosenior. Next news you'll be saying "these lazy journalists never get their facts right." Think he meant PL Club.

Bob Dewhurst Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Just asked Matt Lawton on twitter why his good mate Steve Kean hasn't been offered a managers job nearly 6 months after leaving Rovers, and he said maybe he's taking time out after all the abuse Rovers fans gave him!! Oh dear
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted February 7, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted February 7, 2013 Some people will never learn....
