yoda Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Well that's torn it! Parkes worked them like feck in training....he liked regular long distance runs incorporating into sessions. Dunn eats too many pies. You can take the lad out of Arrod! re the game, a walk in the park not torn, RIPPED the commentators can't believe it!

philipl Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 WOOHOO!!! After 24 months without a football club, Blackburn Rovers have at least got a manager and a team again.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Well done to all the players, fans and a proper manager!!!!!
Stuart Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 You can take the lad out of Arrod! re the game, a walk in the park not torn, RIPPED the commentators can't believe it! I'll give you that one pal!
ada2020 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 I think mr Appleton has well and truly won the fans over now!!! What a fantastic day.
johnny price11 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Fantastic! How tight we are as a unit now is amazing. I can't believe how quick Appleton has turned that part of our play around so quickly.
Mercer Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Said all along I had a good feeling about Appy ! Just shows that a bit of organisation and common sense goes a long way. Glad I didn't put the house on an Arsenal thumping, instead, a sunny morning persuaded me to have a cheeky little flutter on Rovers ! Some wine will be drunk tonight ! Onwards and upwards.
broadsword Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 I'm in shock. First time I've enjoyed being a Rovers fan in over 2 years. Amazing.
pick32 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Every player gave 100% and great debut for our new battling cm.
booth Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Great performance. Restores a bit of pride to Rovers!!!
Proudtobeblue&white Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 For a tidy home draw, doesn't matter who, get Ewood rocking again!!!!
G Somerset Rover Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Every player gave 100% and great debut for our new battling cm. Agreed. Williamson was absolutely superb. He was better in possession in the second half too.
Ossydave Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 I'm off to change my keks after Arteta smashed that shot into the side netting. Few drinks are definitely in order tonight!
tonyoz Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Brilliant, a good as anything under Hughes or Allardyce. That was a sheer blood and guts battling performance, the Appleton era is underway I'm not sure how we managed to defend so impressively when we have been so brittle for so long! And our best defender (Givet) is still in the doghouse! They really looked up for it too! I take my hat off to you Mr Appleton.
McClarky Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Stunning defensive performance. Looked like a proper team, great spirit and resolve. Despite the possession they didn't vreate that much because we were winning all the balls at the back. What a day!
onlyonejackwalker Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Boom! Fantastic! I am made up. Clucking brilliant! Congrats to all involved and a special mention for our travelling fans. Shame on those predicting 6-0 defeats and above. My biggest gripe with the lying toe rag was his inability to get clean sheets anywhere at anytime. Its not rocket science. Enjoy your Saturday one and all.
yoda Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 They will be knocking the whiskly back in Pune tonight
philipl Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Phil McNulty, BBC Sport chief football writer "Arsenal 0 Blackburn 1. Result that is nothing short of catastrophic for Wenger - and some long overdue joy for Blackburn's supporters." Not half
Ossydave Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 For a tidy home draw, doesn't matter who, get Ewood rocking again!!!! Surely Barnsley/Mill @ home has to be the best draw, not that it will work like that. Looks like we'll be off to Old Trafford....
tonyoz Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Lots of boos at the Emirates.... Poor Arsene. Doubtless every comment and phone in now will be asking what Arsenal did wrong and not what BRFC did right! Twas ever thus. I could really feel Arsene's pain as I watched him on the touchline..............delicious!
