folkdevil Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Initially given a 3 year contract wasn't he? I did wonder if this may happen after they sacked him. ,http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/377778/Henning-Berg-to-fight-Blackburn-over-missing-salary

booth Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Poor. At the end of the day it's their mistake and they should pay up.
Andy Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Agreed. They were quick enough to hand him a 3 year contract, so it's their responsibility to pay it up, having decided that Berg was no longer required.
chris_h Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Just as we show signs of stabilising these ****wits shoot us in the foot again. Who would be surprised though?
Plastics Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Very, very poor. You've got to feel sorry for Berg having to go through this when he should be putting all that behind him.
ada2020 Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 They should make Singh pay Berg off, his @#/? up after all.
OJRovers Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Isn't there a league payment due in March, so maybe they are stalling until that it received? I seem to remember that end of Feb was rumoured to be a pressure point on cash last year.
Amo Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 He should be paying *us* for that shower of sh** performance. *trollface*
Rover_Shaun Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 I am surprised that Berg is expecting the clubs administrators and owners to be honourable
Mike Graham Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Typical from the Venky muppets running (sic) our Club
Backroom DE. Posted February 15, 2013 Backroom Posted February 15, 2013 Guess things haven't changed so much after all, have they Henning?
chaddyrovers Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 just pay Henning Berg what is owned to him and have done with it all.
Roverthechimp Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Oh ffs - read the @#/? article. It happens all the time. The question is often twofold - first how much is the person due and secondly when is it due. Unless the contract stipulates that it must be paid out in full within x amount of time then any sensible business will wait as long as possible and then try to cut a deal - eg well yes he is due 3 years basic wages but we don't have to pay him now according to his contract - how about we give him a lump sum of about 65% of wages and save him a fair amount of legal expenses and hassle. If it fails then the 6 months taken to sort it will quite easily give a return of about 100k on the 1.5 million that is owed which will cover the legal expenses. But any stick to beat our foreign poultry farming owners
47er Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Yes, all class are Venkys! And people worry about Nick Harris possibly destabilising us! We will never be stable under Venkys and I honestly can't understand why people don't get that.
Roverthechimp Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 I love this board - it's fantastic for venting all the pent up irritation of dealing with people all week without requiring the expense of flowers, jewellery or legal counsel
Stuart Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 But any stick to beat our foreign poultry farming owners They've a long way to go before people give them the benefit of the doubt. But, way to go putting "foreign" in there as though that has anything to do with why they are distrusted.
Rover_Shaun Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Does klc stand for Kean loving crew? Just wondering
yoda Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 If they revoked due wages for Steve Kean would you argue the same point? They tried and failed! apparently
Roverthechimp Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Does klc stand for Kean loving crew? Just wondering Well spotted
Roverthechimp Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 They've a long way to go before people give them the benefit of the doubt. But, way to go putting "foreign" in there as though that has anything to do with why they are distrusted. Good to see that you picked up on it. It was an element of the initial mistrust (in my opinion), the amount of times i read "indian chicken farmers" as a condescending description of an established multi business family was frightening. Of course they then give the fans more tangible reasons to distrust and dislike them but if you think that in a choice between two potential owners that our fans would not factor in the origin and race of said potential owners then you are a better man than i.
