The Rover of Finland Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Don´t really effect on me but surely it´s different tickets now as it´s cup game.

CapeTownRover Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Either way, we just need to ensure we dont lose. If we draw the game, we replay them at Ewood. But this is such a good chance to get to Wembley, so we must surely be pumped up for this. My only concern is, that i hope we dont take our eye off our league campaign, and miss out on that play off spot. Opportunity to reach Wembley twice, wow we can start dreaming now.
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Can't have any complaints with that. Yes in a perfect world you'd want a home tie but more importantly we needed to avoid Utd, City, Chelsea and Everton to stand any realistic chance of progressing. Besides, if we take 3/4k away fans then it'll feel like a home game away from home. If we can beat Arsenal then we can easily take Millwall. I'm starting to get carried away...
TurkishDelightFan Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 this seems like it will be very expensive. I might just wait till the semi's at Wembley
chaddyrovers Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 good draw for us, but prefer a home game against them tho. lets win and get to wembley for semi

matt83 Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 To those of us foolish enough to book hotels/trains for this game weeks back without realising it was an FA cup weekend, this is the draw of the century. Yes its the one thing that took a tiny bit of gloss off it for me yest the fact had a non refundable ticket to london. Can just do with a sat 3pm ko now not to mess around with train.
rovers11 Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Great draw. I can almost smell Wembley. Millwall have been on the slide the last few weeks after an impressive run of form. Id be surprised if we didn't beat them.
philipl Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 This has a draw at the New Den written all over it
Mike Graham Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 If we do get to Wembley then I'll be on a freebie....exactly on the half way way line and just in front of the Royal Box. Great for hanging a scarf on the Rovers players as they walk up the steps to take the trophy(ies).
Amo Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Don't be getting complacent now. Millwall will be relishing this tie just as much as we are.
Mike Graham Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Don't be getting complacent now. Millwall will be relishing this tie just as much as we are. True, I was having a dreamy moment
PAFELL Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 London Bridge to South Bermondsey by rail. There is a separate walkway for away fans to the North Stand. If there are plenty of away fans travelling then the police arrange a special away fans special service from London Bridge. Correct. Though I think the police put the train on from London Bridge regardless. As they don't know how many would travel independently. Nice, only two hours away for me.
Ewoodbhappy Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Another new ground for me, looking forward to this one....will be practising my cockney slang. "Score a goal" = "Jordan Rhodes" New ground for me too Mike. Looking forward to this.
Amo Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 True, I was having a dreamy moment Wasn't meant for you in particular. We've all got one eye on Wembley but from the tone of some posts people think this will be a cakewalk.
A cup of beans Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Looking forward to it! 1 game from Wembley. Ironic after our 2 worst years and with our poorest squad! I'm not complaining, just happily surprised.
Clitherover Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 This has a draw at the New Den written all over it I think we'd batter them back at Ewood if it came to that.
phildinio Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 To those of us foolish enough to book hotels/trains for this game weeks back without realising it was an FA cup weekend, this is the draw of the century. So me
Gally Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 So me I bet there's a few of us in the same position. Really looking forward to this, should be a full house with 3000 Rovers fans there.
bluefred Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 i dont fhink we could have asked for a better draw,we may have been a bit complacent at home to them,so im well happy with this tie.
McClarky Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Good draw for both teams and should be evenly matched. I thought they were the best side I've seen this season when they played at Ewood but that was against a previous incarnation of Rovers and we should be a different proposition now. Really wish the semis weren't at Wembley, I think it takes away from the occasion. Would much rather we were looking to play at OT or Villa park or somewhere in front of a much better atmosphere rather than than at a not full Wembley.
Stuart Posted February 17, 2013 Author Posted February 17, 2013 Don´t really effect on me but surely it´s different tickets now as it´s cup game. They were talking travel and accommodation, not match tickets. You are correct these will be different.
Gumbi Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Unless Reading beat Man Utd tomorrow, our game will be played on the Sunday. Liverpool are at home on the Sunday meaning Everton wouldn't be able to play on the Sunday and Man Utd and Man City wouldn't be able to play on the same day either. My guess is that we will get the lunch time kick off.
SAMCRO Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Millwall fans think they have an easy way into the semis now. I don't think they realise we've only conceded 2 goals from open play so far this year. I'm pretty confident.
riverside returns Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 My guess is that the games be rovers sat 1500 Everton sat 1730 Utd Sunday 1600 City monday
