chaddyrovers Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 injured. just cant stay fit and picking up knocks. maybe time for him to retire and become a coach at the Academy
Blue n White Rover Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 No, he can just retire. What has he shown that entitles him to a role within the academy? I'd rather have a more experienced man at the helm.
arbitro Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Grella used to get crucified but Dunn isn't far behind in the 'milking the club' stakes. If he makes another comeback the David Dunn is Blue and White chants will be heard at Ewood because he is allegedly one of our own. There is no room for sentiment and when he comes to the end of his contract he should be gone. Perhaps Accrington will come calling.
Ben-2000 Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Yeah, time he went. He's been long past it. I don't buy into all this sentimental 'he's a local lad' rubbish either. What does that matter if he's not good enough?!
Amo Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 injured. just cant stay fit and picking up knocks. maybe time for him to retire and become a coach at the Academy Jobs for the boys? No offence to Dunny but I'd rather have qualified professionals overseeing the next generation and not someone whose idea of youth development is an afternoon down the Dog & Duck.
Backroom Tom Posted February 24, 2013 Backroom Posted February 24, 2013 Well someone needs to show the young uns how not to stay in shape
Salgado Is A Hero Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Calf injury is the most recent thing I read but it doesn't really matter does it? There's always something.
Roverall Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Telling the fans to 'Get Real' because we didn't like Kean and Venky's was the final straw for me. Thick as two short planks is 'Dunny', with a thick neck to boot.
Fife Rover Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Yeah, time he went. He's been long past it. I don't buy into all this sentimental 'he's a local lad' rubbish either. What does that matter if he's not good enough?! Dunn is a fool to himself......another "Gazza". There is no doubt that he had talent in abundance, but he chose to completely waste it by his choice of lifestyle. Nobody made him do it, except his own weak will and stupidity.
chaddyrovers Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 maybe he should retire and become a pundit
Stuart Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 I almost laughed then chaddy. But when you think about it, if Paul Merson can get a gig anyone can!
Baz Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 To be fair, Dunny is doing his coaching badges. However, he shouldnt have been offered another deal last time around.
1864roverite Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Two for a quid at Greggs and he spent £20
cn174 Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 You'll be able to see him next Friday at Chorley FC: http://www.chorleyfc.com/index.php/news-menu/club-news/797-legends-night-friday-march-1st

davefarnworth Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Jogging down to Bedford. Told him the "Best Kebab" house was the best in England. (It is but he doesn't know it yet). SHAME. A great player for Rovers. I'll buy him a kebab when he gets here though
MrT Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 His calves are shot... And yes he should of kept his gob shut instead of telling his own mates to "get real" before embarking on another Whalley drinking sesh with his best buddy at the time.......SK
Rover95 Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Grella used to get crucified but Dunn isn't far behind in the 'milking the club' stakes. If he makes another comeback the David Dunn is Blue and White chants will be heard at Ewood because he is allegedly one of our own. There is no room for sentiment and when he comes to the end of his contract he should be gone. Perhaps Accrington will come calling. I always found it incredible that just because he was born round here, he could do no wrong. What a load of old tosh. Let's forget the fact he is basically another Grella - picking up his wages and injury after injury along the way. We should have got rid many years ago. The guy's an idiot imo
Andy Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I think if he really is a Rovers fan, then he's always had a funny way of showing it. A recent example is the huge backing of the bald one and the 'get real' statement. How about Dunn 'gets real' himself and drops down to his playing level, maybe joining his mate Beattie?
LeChuck Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 David Dunn another Grella? He's given us over 300 appearances! Grella contributed absolutely nothing in his time here. Dunn has contribued a hell of a lot.
yoda Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 David Dunn another Grella? He's given us over 300 appearances! Grella contributed absolutely nothing in his time here. Dunn has contribued a hell of a lot. not has, should be did, past tense asap

Dunn has contribued a hell of a lot. 300 appearances isn't all that much in the time he's spent and the wages he's got from this club IMO Had spells when he's been great but they were too infrequent
