adopted scouser Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Sister in Darwen has just got another Ford Focus. This time it's a Ghia and we can't figure out what one of the buttons is for. It's on the driver's door and is with the electric windows switch. It is a rocker switch with an upside down 'broadband' on it. Like the one on your phone but upside down ????

T4E Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, it turns off the internal sensors so you can stay in the car with it locked without the alarm going off.

Blue n White Rover Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, it turns off the internal sensors so you can stay in the car with it locked without the alarm going off. What T4E said. I had the same in my VW. It is designed for "pets" so when you leave them in the boot and lock the car, the alarm will not go off.
adopted scouser Posted March 1, 2013 Author Posted March 1, 2013 So do you just press it then get out and lock the car ? Cheers !
Blue n White Rover Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I would assume that if you are keeping a pet inside the car, then yes press the switch and leave the car. Otherwise, just leave it switched off.
T4E Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 So do you just press it then get out and lock the car ? Cheers ! You'll want to leave it turned on I'd have thought. Just like BnWR said, my Golf also has this button, I've never bothered pressing it.
1864roverite Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Is it not just an internal sensor for when your alarm is set ?
