Radio Lancs just said one of the Venky's entourage was taken ill and has died today.

Horrible if true

Don't want them near the club but its always hard hitting when someone dies at a game

It isn't known whether they were part of the owners, or part of their escort.

I just caught some of Appleton's interview and he mentioned the word 'spineless' and that he would have changed six or seven at half time if he could have done. He mentioned something about the attitude from some players that previous three managers have had to put up with. I find this difficult to accept when he keeps picking the same players who clearly couldn't care less and pick up hefty wage packets irrespective of how they play or the result. He sounded hurt but his team selection on Tuesday should tell us an awful lot.

Saw we where losing 3 nil after 30 minutes, mabe about a year ago I would've been truly gutted by this but not nowadays. the club is a mess, we will be in League 1 in the coming years not the premier league at this rate. I like MA but he needs to never play Murphy and Orr again. I can only think Murphy has a clause in his contract whe he has to start a certain number of game, It was clear in September that he wasnt good enough.

Jones sounded decent but 1 performance in a defeat counts for nothing, he needs to start against Bolton and repro it. I hope the manager has now realised what poison Orr and Murphy now are.

Posh may well be a rubbish side in reality but their team spirit constantly shines through having beaten many much better teams away from home. There is no shame in losing to them anymore, but to lose the game in the first 30 minutes and the reaction of some of those players says it all.

Did Bentley do much in the first half? He did Stewart do 2nd half?

Who actually dreams of the playoffs? God help us if we somehow get in and then promoted - we would easily give Sunderland/Derby/Swindon a run for most pathetic performances in the Premierleague

It did sound as though the subs would start the next match.

It also sounded as though Jones made a decision to come and play for us that is costing him (financially?)

Can someone fill me in on the performances of Stewart and Jones today? Have they earned a place in the first eleven v Bolton?

Stewart looked really quick and lively.. Jones was a breath of fresh air in the middle of the park got stuck in and was always looking to pass the ball forward and receive the ball himself, took his goal well also so can see him starting for definite on Tuesday and maybe Stewart too. As club captain its a big call for Appleton to either stick with murphy or drop him. The latter is looking very likely now.

I defence of Rekik, on numerous occasions he was looking for people to play a ball to and nobody was interested at all, playing with Markus Olsson in front of you is enough to make anyone play crap, I almost felt sorry for him at times. I'm not saying I rate him as I haven't really been impressed so far, but I can sympathise to an extent.

Jones looked good and was man of the match. Left footed, got stuck in, can pass and took free kicks.

Stewart seemed okay. Quite quick, good feet, but perhaps another Marcus Olsson (average).

And the prodigal son Bentley was every bit as bad as Murphy, Orr and the other useless wasters.

Surely we have a left back in our Academy who is at least the equal of Rekik. For me he can go back to Man City. I have seen absolutely nothing about him that is good.

Defensively woeful but played some great passes including a peach of a cross to Rhodes for an easy header

danny murphy is a a well off individual who has had great moments in his career. unfortunately,he seems to have little pride in himself because he must know that he should not be playing here. yet he continues to pick up big money. i suppose that's not his fault in a way, which begs more questions. an agenda must have been outlined somewhere at some point. i know it's ridiculous to talk of betting scams and all that, but big rollers are involved here and big money slushing around. there is nothing remotely logical to a large percentage of decisions being made at many levels. something is afoot, methinks, although a conspiricy theory(another) is obviously not welcome.purely on football terms it is blatantly obvious that d murphy should not be captaining this club from central midfield. blindingly obvious. so why ? why ? as for orr..... a total disgrace.

I thought Henley regularly played at left back before getting into the 1st team, although id prefer it if Givet got his head straight, played at left back and gave his all for the remainder of the season(if only to put himself in the shop window before his contracts up)

p.s. obviously though if Henley played left back wed need somebody else to take over at rb!

Let's face it, if your captain on the pitch is a spineless, lazy, past it sack of dog poo then you can't really expect the team to be going anywhere. We have done well to be in the position we are in with some of the players we have endured this season. Murphy has constantly been carried through games by his midfield partner in Lowe who isn't even that good himself and would be nowhere near the team in that position anyway if I was in charge.

Shame Williamson got injured, him and Jones in the middle would be more of a battling midfield for this division. Murphy needs to be released in the summer and only appear as a bit part from now til the end, utterly spineless, and I wouldn't be surprised if he and Bradley Orr are mates the way Orr behaved today from what has been said.

The wrong attitude and problems is Orr and Murphy.....get rid and asap...loan them out to Conference or something. They have a bad influence to the team. Murphy is annoyed that Appleton who is almost the same age is the manager....Orr is pure bullshit!!

Bentley was subbed do to his defensive lapses but in an attacking role could be really god....Markus should had been subbed instead...

but you saw the difference when Lowe played with Murphy and then he was a lot better with Jones.

Rekik is awful and hopefully Martin is back sooner than later..... we need him for the relegation scrap looming.

The BIG MARKING was taken of MURPHY AND ORR at HALFTIME....SAYS IT ALL !

GET FECKKING MURPHY AND ORR OUT!!!

Regarding the Orr situation:

Was just after the 3rd goal went in. He backed out of a challenge and got beat yet again so majority of fans told them what they thought of him. To which he ran over to the touchline and shouted at the fans to "feck off". Whether he said more at half time I don't know.

Don't think I've hated anyone at Rovers as much as this tool, I hope he get's abuse thrown at him every game he's in from now on.

How did the lad from Hull do?

The players should be ashamed of themselves today. You can talk about tactics and formations as much as you like but being 3-0 down at ht to the bottom club is not about playing the wrong formation its down to the pathetic attitude of the players.

Away games again leicester and hull, you can say fair enough we lost to them as they are better than us. Today was simply a lack of attitude. Orr and Murphy will not be here next season along with quite a few.

Not sure any manager could get this team motivated. Jones showed them all how its done today. Class when he came on. He could well be that missing piece in the midfield. Energetic, composed on the ball and 100% commitment.

For me, its about assessing the squad for next season and Jones is certainly someone id have here.

According to twitter (I know, I know) he allegedly told the fans in one stand to "f-ck off" as he left the pitch at half time. Might be why he didn't re-emerge in the second half.

During the first half he turned to fans in the Jack Walker Stand and shouted at them to "f--k off". Quite frankly he should never be allowed to wear the shirt again and the same goes for the overpaid prima donna that is Danny Murphy. Listening to Appleton on Radio Rovers and it would appear as if he has now made his mind up about certain players. He was absolutely bang on the money when he described the first half as "spineless" and it was interesting to hear him say that he now understands the issues that caused problems for other managers this season. Hopefully, we will see a big clear out come the end of the season and he will be given the time and resources to rebuild. According to Radio Rovers the owners were there today and surely even they can see that this club is now standing on the edge of the abyss.
