Stuart Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Personally, I can't wait for tomorrow night. Looking forward to it immensely.Do you know what Jim. I'm really looking forward to it too. But I'm not sure why.Maybe it's the feeling of past cup nights at Ewood which have been regularly filled with excitement and had a good following. In not sure if we'll get that tomorrow night. Maybe it's the size of the prize. Wembley appearances, for a club like Rovers - whether it be a semi or a final, could well be like rocking horse kean over the next decade or so. Either way I'm hoping for a win tomorrow, in whatever way we get it.

RevidgeBlue Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I thought tim Payne did realy well at the Olympics playing center mid, him cotton and Fernandez must be being considered, or we could move dann to right back and brig givet in. I'm not up to speed with the progress of the youngsters but that's the other thing I was thinking, Appleton seems to favour experience even if the player in question is dire Orr, Pedersen etc, but we must have a youngster in the ranks who can do a job in central midfield in such exceptional circumstances. Edit: We do also still have a central midfielder available: Murphy. Appleton won't pick him which is all well and good when there are better alternatives imo is cutting your nose off to spite your face in tomorrow night's situation.
Exiled in Toronto Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I am one of those but don't need to find an excuse to justify it to anyone. The bottom line is that I can't be bothered as I have lost my passion for the club. I will happily sit at home and watch on TV with a nice bottle of red. Clearly, I hope Rovers win but it will cause no discomfort, unlike years gone by, should we lose. I think there are thousands like me who feel the same. I wish you'd lose your passion for telling us you have lost your passion with the club. Perhaps there should be another messageboard for past supporters; Coronation St. fan sites aren't full of people endlessly saying "I don't really watch it any more, not since Albert Tatlock left."

Very good ! Frustrating season and the Club has been on a steady decline ever since Mark Hughes was driven out if truth be told but tomorrow is probably one of those occasions to support the Club/badge whatever your view on the owners.
Mercer Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Why do you come on here then except to cheese everyone off with your miserable persona ? Personally, I can't wait for tomorrow night. Looking forward to it immensely. Bit rich coming from you !!! Thought you were the original miserable bugger. I wish you'd lose your passion for telling us you have lost your passion with the club. Perhaps there should be another messageboard for past supporters; Coronation St. fan sites aren't full of people endlessly saying "I don't really watch it any more, not since Albert Tatlock left." I take it you never open a newspaper then as they are always full of bad news ! What a dull world it would be if we were all clones of you.
USABlue Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 What's happened to Rekik? Is he ineligible to play? I'd just stick Givet at right back failing all else. Or maybe even Henrique. Lowe has to stay in midfield for this one. Edit: I see Rekik was on the bench Saturday so I assume can play. Being right footed I'd stick him out there. Kean Rekik Dann Hanley Martin King Lowe Pedersen Markus Best Rhodes I'd agree about Lowe, seemed to me Millwall got the upper hand when Lowe dropped out of midfield, unless that was just coincidence.

Why do you spend time reading and posting on here if you have little or no interest in the club? I'm not spoiling for an argument by the way, I am genuinely intrigued.
jim mk2 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Bit rich coming from you !!! Thought you were the original miserable bugger. Haven't got long left in this life matey. Going to enjoy it while I can - which means forgetting about the idiots in Pune and watching my beloved Rovers.

I noticed you been a bit more upbeat lately, I just figured you'd discovered Viagra Jim.
Guest Norbert Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 What will happen will happen. Even reaching the 1/4 finals is better than the recent habit of getting tubbed 4-1 by Coventry, or meekly losing to say Derby in the 3rd or 4th round.
USABlue Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Possible but those people who want to watch the CL are hardly going to be distracted by a Rovers match kicking off at the same time. I'm interested to know why though. Pisses me off, if it wasn't for those games it would probably be on telly over here.

I'm not spoiling for an argument by the way, I am genuinely intrigued. I talked about 'passion' and not "little or no interest" ! You don't follow a team for as long as I have and lose all interest. The passion has certainly waned as a result of, IMO, abysmal ownership and senior management which has wrecked the club, ripping out the heart and soul. Even in those darkest of days when we were struggling at the foot of the old Third Division, supporters of the club cared because, by and large, those involved with the club cared and there was sincerity. IMO, what we have descended into is beyond belief.

I'm hoping for a night like against Sheffield Wednesday a decade or so ago (without being pelted with coins this time), remember Matty Jansen doing the drumming at the end of the game If we go through there will be some celebration at the end which we haven't had in a while

Mercer Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Old news, get over it. We have a Tory govt too but we have to live with it (2 years and counting). You lead your life and I'll lead mine. Yep we do have a Tory Government who are trying to get us out of the financial mess left by your mate Brown. You can't spend what you aint got !

You don't half talk some crap at times. Who left a note at the Treasury after election which said 'sorry, there is no money left' - stand up Liam Byrne, Labour's Chief Secretary to Treasury. Wonder who squandered that !?!? At least get your facts right - shouldn't believe everything you see/hear on the 'red Beeb'.

Just short of 7,000 sold to date (home fans) That's a real shame.
rovermagic Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Bloody brilliant. Half seven ko means I'm almost certain to miss the first 10 mins. Considering we could have ET and pens does it really make THAT much difference to ESPN?? Football supporters are second class citizens. It's no wonder attendances are shot to kean. Confirmed by Applestore TV Guide app that we ARE on ESPN Wed at 7:15PM.
