Tyrone Shoelaces Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Who was worse - Frank Lord or Goodwillie ? Bloody Hell Jim, you don't half ask some hard questions. Give me Jim Fryatt over the two of them.

because of boxing day Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Terry Eccles would give them all a run for their money
pk1875 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Should be a huge crowd given that Life Long PRESTON Rover fan Paul Agnew has issued a rallying cry http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/10283456.Blackburn_Rovers_issue_rallying_call/
AggyBlue Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 It's so much better playing the replay the following week rather than having to wait ten days or so. The head can stay in FA cup mode.
grizfoot Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Rather excited about this to be honest. Not about the football on show, it will probably be rather dire, but about the prospect of getting to a Wembley semi-final. I think £18 for a ticket to a FA cup quarter-final is more than reasonable, what are you really going to spend £18 that can bring you the same sort of joy that experiencing a win tomorrow night might bring. Hopefully they'll be a decent crowd and atmosphere to match, as was said in earlier in this topic if you can't get excited about this then you may as well go and find a new hobby.
forumquizmaster Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 No it can't be. I was being sarcastic. We got stuffed at home Tom, made the trip over to Sheffield for the second leg three or four goals behind. We were only two down. We lost that 1993 game 4-2, if I remember correctly Warhurst got a couple that night. Away goals didn't count either so we were far from out of it, especially when we scored first at their place. The poster was talking about the 2002 game anyway as others have pointed out.
Rover_Shaun Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Biggest game of the season. In years to come the record books will show that we got to the Sixth Round/Semi Finals/Runners Up or FA Cup winners. Those record books will not show the circumstances around the club at the time. Must, must win game, and take our chance for some sort of vengeance on Wigan for sending us down last season. Massive game for Rovers, and I only hope MA and the players on the night do the club justice. Wigan didn't send us down
Ozz Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 When we lost at home to Wigan our relegation became mathematically unavoidable. Or are you cryptically (or not so) alluding that the other things sent us down?
Rover_Shaun Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 When we lost at home to Wigan our relegation became mathematically unavoidable. Or are you cryptically (or not so) alluding that the other things sent us down? I thought it was obvious that Wigan didn't send us down. But maybe that's just me There were 36 previous games that season as well as a squad of surrender monkeys, a tw*t of a manager and the most incompetent set of fools ever to leave the shores of India
Backroom DE. Posted March 12, 2013 Backroom Posted March 12, 2013 Indeed, Steve Kean and Venky's sent us down. Wigan had very little to do with it in the grand scheme of things, there's no vengeance to be had against them.
Ozz Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Yeah funny but we can't play Steve Kean and Venkys in a cup semi final so Wigan will have to do.
Backroom Tom Posted March 12, 2013 Backroom Posted March 12, 2013 Should be a huge crowd given that Life Long PRESTON Rover fan Paul Agnew has issued a rallying cry http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/10283456.Blackburn_Rovers_issue_rallying_call/ Not that I have any time for him but he was a rovers fan in his schooldays I know that much
Rover_Shaun Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Venkys Out banners all around Wembley? Hmmmmm!!!!
JAL Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Can we score a goal ? Looking forward to seeing David Bentley play for the first time since he came back. Playing against Shittu one would think we need quick forwards to move his bulking frame around and catch him out, but do we have any fast forwards capable of doing just this.
Rovers in America Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Forgive me if this has been answered, but any other American rovers find this on TV anywhere tomorrow? Or even a replay listed? Look like champions league is getting precedence on Fox Soccer.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Apparently it's only being shown live in the UK, Nigeria, South Africa and Hungary.
Exiled in Toronto Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I take it you never open a newspaper then as they are always full of bad news ! What a dull world it would be if we were all clones of you. Indeed, I would love to have a life consisting of "I've lost my passion for the club. Put a cheeky fiver on at 600-1. Will enjoy a bottle of red with the wife"
Mike Graham Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Venkys Out banners all around Wembley? Hmmmmm!!!! Yes, I expect so.....I will be well placed on the half way line, in posh seats just above where the players tunnel is, with the owners just above!
Lathund Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Apparently it's only being shown live in the UK, Nigeria, South Africa and Hungary. It's live in Sweden too. Sadly the game starts just when I arrive at the hospital for a 10 hour shift. Any other wednesday this year and I couldve watched it.
chaddyrovers Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Venkys Out banners all around Wembley? Hmmmmm!!!! why??? forget about them. back Appleton n the players.

But maybe that's just me There were 36 previous games that season as well as a squad of surrender monkeys, a tw*t of a manager and the most incompetent set of fools ever to leave the shores of India Personally I blame the chicken - showed a good turn of speed and dribbling ability sure he would have scored if he had stayed on the pitch longer.
Backroom DE. Posted March 13, 2013 Backroom Posted March 13, 2013 Personally I blame the chicken - showed a good turn of speed and dribbling ability sure he would have scored if he had stayed on the pitch longer. This was our starting midfield/attack in that match: 08 Dunn 12 Pedersen 35 Lowe 09 Modeste 23 Hoilett 24 Yakubu Could the chicken have done any worse than these?
Parsonblue Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 why??? forget about them. back Appleton n the players. Please explain how you forget about the people who have destroyed the club? I'll always support the team on the pitch but forget about what the Indian mob have done to this club? You must be joking!
Rover_Shaun Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 why??? forget about them. back Appleton n the players. Oh dear
