It's not signings we need first, it's getting shot of half the squad first. Signings are easy but to get rid of bad players on long contracts we need a few contacts in the mafia......

...... any darreners out there?

Yep i'm one :rover:

i dont think Bowyer would be yes man.

you are judgong him without even knowing him.

i would be happy with Bowyer as manager if it happens.

there isnt an experience manager out there who i would want apart from McClaren but most fans wouldnt.

dont want Taylor, Sven or Coyle.

and RDM or Hughes wont come to Rovers.

Seriously, I would not want McClaren anywhere near this club. I think Bowyer will do fine and I don't see him as an arse licker either. I like his demeaner, I like that he has a good knowledge of our youth players. Perhaps there are one or two ready. Yeah GB for me rather than another inept Venkys appointment. Kudo's to those who actually hae the name to put a name forward as their choice. So many here just bad mouth who ever is mentioned but never seem to make their own suggestions.

agree with your Bowyer's comments 100%

that's my point about McClaren that's most fans don't want him. so would be negative atmosphere around the ground from season kickoff

Most Fans?? How do you know that?

I don't think Chaddy's wrong. McClaren has the same kind of stigma as managers like McLeish and Megson, people just don't want them at their club. There's also another connection between the three but for Gordon's sake I won't highlight that :P

would you have him here then???

speaking to few Rovers fans at last home game and they were dead against him coming in. Just cant see fans being happy with his appointment if it did. People still remember his failure to get England to the Euro 2008 and the Brolly incident. they haven't forgiven him

Ahead of Bowyer? Like a shot

I am curious about what he could bring to the party, other than more experience. Please, try and convince me he'd be better than the one man who did OK in this very mad season. I would like to know why you're so kean on him.

Are you Keaning joking? A straight choice between Bowyer and Mcclaren and you ask me why choose Mcclaren, ex England manager, uefa cup finalist, carling cup winner and boros best and most successful manager in their history....oh and Fergies assistant during a treble winning season....

It's only a bit O fun chaddy.

Bowyers done great, is a nice bloke and deserves rewarding for what he has done. But he won't please all, Sherwood and Mckinlay hold similiar roles to Bowyer and the only real difference is one has been a caretaker. Look at the reaction to Sherwood and McKinlay being linked and consider Bowyer has in the cold light of day just 10 matches. Or ten more than Sherwood and McKinlay hardly a lot. And that's before you consider a lot of people considered the 80 odd Appleton and Berg had prior to Rovers to be too few. And obviously the mighty Number 2 Kean with a grand total of nil doggies. People are bound to be reluctant over going down the same route again that has in the main lead to disaster. Regardless of what he has done at Rovers they will see parallels between the appointments. Say a few nobodies arrive, he'll be tared with the brush of previous regimes, it's just the way people are. For Bowyer to work out he'll have to sign mainly British based player and no loads from random countries. He'll also need to hit the ground running something Rovers have failed to do in their whole tenure to date. Forgive some for not wishing to do the same again as some would define that as madness. The fans would be going spastic if we appointed say Flitcroft from Barnsley because once you take away the Rovers connection that's exactly what we've got and even he's had 2 clubs as a Kean or No.2. Would you be happy with Flicker???
