OJRovers Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 That is the question that the LT should be asking over and over again. How can those things be said in court and Shaw remain in post? The current hiatus regarding the managerial appointment tells us nothing has changed. If Venky's can't agree amongst themselves what hope is there? The LT did ask and we were told to "move on" by Agnew, as if that was the end of it.

West Yorks Rover Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 The LT did ask and we were told to "move on" by Agnew, as if that was the end of it. And that is the reason why people like me boycotted.
tomphil Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 The LT are desperate for news and something to fill their pages and as we know nowts happening so we get the same tale rehashed day after day. A little bit of thinking and a few different features might be nice just for a change but gone are those days. Unless a modern day 'reporter' can pinch something off a messageboard or twitter then we get the same tale with the words moved around a bit. They do now seem to quote Agspew on a daily basis since Andy Cryer left.
Rover_Shaun Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Chris Flanaghan, who has taken over from Cryer, doesn't look very old and is probably still bedding into his chosen profession so he's hardly going to rock the boat at the main source of his bread and butter
tomphil Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Chris Flanaghan, who has taken over from Cryer, doesn't look very old and is probably still bedding into his chosen profession so he's hardly going to rock the boat at the main source of his bread and butter I think he's been at the LT a few years though. Maybe it's an old photo
Rover_Shaun Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 I only noticed his name appear on more fluff pieces this year...........
Stuart Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 I think he used to be the LT crime correspondent so you'd think that would have toughened him up. I agree though, I think that's an old photo.

He can only reported the info he is given by the club and by his sources. but no-one has direct contact with the owners apart from the rovers board. The next manager permanent appointment will be made when the owners finally decided to make a decision. I know its annoying and frustrating for the fans and people around the club but these are times when the owners should be over here dealing with Club decisions person to person not by phone or Email. Stuart Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 He can only reported the info he is given by the club and by his sources. Not sure a reporter worth his/her salt would appreciate that description. He needs to be asking the tough questions of the right people. If he just waits for Agnew's copy to drop into his inbox it might get him some brownie points but it won't win him any awards, or gain any credibility. Let's hope he has a bit more about him. Maybe he needs to do some research and ask himself: "What would Peter White have done?". Otherwise fans will be able to get all of their 'news' from the club website.
Rover_Shaun Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Yet I wouldn't want him to start making stuff up for the hell of it, or being intentionally left field, like Nicko
Stuart Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Yet I wouldn't want him to start making stuff up for the hell of it, or being intentionally left field, like Nicko You're right. Much better for him to wait for someone else to make it up for him. I'd love to have seen Kamy take over from Cryer...

What would Jesus do? What would Bobby Dylan say? ...Oh for Peter White now!. Also, does anyone remember David Allin back 1978. He waged a one man campaign against Jim Iley.. This guy does look very young to be up against a regime that is so riddled with secrecy, denial and deceit ( add your own nouns). Don't let's turn on him, as an individual, though. I sense that the whole LT is a very different kind of paper these days. All the Presidents Men... NOT
broadsword Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 I think he used to be the LT crime correspondent Ah well, I can see why he got the gig reporting Rovers then.

West Yorks Rover Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Ah well, I can see why he got the gig reporting Rovers then. As capt, Mainwaring would say 'I wondered who would be the first to spot that one'
broadsword Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 It was a doozy sir, I could not resist temptation.

Waggy76 Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Bowyer not appointed and another week , nearly at an end .. Cannot help thinking the meddling buffoon that is Shebby Singh is trying to unearth the next Steve Kean ... Shaw and Agnew both still employed by the club , is an UTTER DISGRACE ! Looking like a long summer and even longer winter , relegation beckons ...

West Yorks Rover Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 They've probably been advise that since season don't start until August, no need to rush! Indeed, why would certain people want anything to change, when they're on easy street with a nice fat contract and great working conditions. Plus why pay a managers wages when there is no football going on.
Stuart Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Plus why pay a managers wages when there is no football going on. Now that's a scary thought. That they might believe that to be true!
West Yorks Rover Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 Now that's a scary thought. That they might believe that to be true! Can't you just imagine those words coming out of her majesty's mouth.
