moerpho Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Sad thing is, Stuart, that what you just wrote is probably as close to truth about what happened as anything else. Can easily see something like that actually happening with this lot.

Backroom DE. Posted March 19, 2013 Backroom Posted March 19, 2013 That why I wouldnt be surprise to see Bowyer become First Team Head Coach with Shebby as DoF. cant see many managers being happy with that. maybe Querioz or McClaren would be happy with this. wont get a Adkins with that arrangement Bowyer won't take on the role full-time in any capacity. He isn't that stupid.
thenodrog Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 thenodrogs partner is a lucky woman. And she knows it.
Paul Mellelieu Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 This move, crazy has it seems, might save the club, in the short term at least. I'm convinced that we were heading to League 1 with Appleton in charge. Now we have a better chance of survival.
Fife Rover Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Venky's have someone lined up already? You must be joking! Judan Ali ?
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 More managers than away wins. Ludicrous.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 It's going to be Ali, isn't it? If it is that's me finished. Nothing to do with his ethnicity. It will just be the latest example of Venkeys intention to run Rovers into the ground for their own miss guided ends.
chaddyrovers Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Rafa Benitez to Rovers next manager http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/next-blackburn-manager-rafa-benitez-1773740
Kei Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Rovers fans know it's nothing to do with ethnicity. The problem is we will be accused of it by everybody and his dog if he is appointed and there is a huge backlash. This is just an ongoing nightmare, when we finally wake up from it I doubt we will really have a club left.
Stuart Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Rafa Benitez to Rovers next manager http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/next-blackburn-manager-rafa-benitez-1773740 "Even moves for Swanseas Michael Laudrup and out-of-work Nigel Adkins are in the frame and they are likely to be sounded out about their interest in the coming weeks" Now I KNOW Nicko is pulling our plonkers. Wonder if he's was put up to it. Someone somewhere is cocking their sides over that one. Laudrup? Keaning Hell
perthblue02 Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Rafa Benitez to Rovers next manager http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/next-blackburn-manager-rafa-benitez-1773740 Interesting Nixon take on it with a anti singh slant for good measure, Nixon's "sources" must not be happy at the moment, so now Appleton was recommended by a "PR" company
BRFC4EVA Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Whilst the sacking of MA is rash when you consider what has happened already this season-I cant say I am that bothered about him going. He wasnt the kind of manager that would get us promoted. Hes great in a crisis, or when backs against the wall is required, or consolidation (of league position, rather then of the club). However, he simply is not attacking enough to win the required number of game to get a team up. In the prem, its all about going undefeated. In this league, its about avoiding draws, 3 wins and 1 defeat is better then 2 wins and 2 draws. Look at Clark (it might have been Grayson) at Huddersfield-went a record amount of games without loosing.-but they didnt get promoted as that is not what you need. That is how i see MA. Draw specialist and not what we need. The first thing id like to see Bowyer do is bring back Rochina. I understand not wanting to have too many creative players at the club-but we havent got any now!! However there is no doubt the club is a laughing stock-who is gonna come here now?

More bullshit about managers who'll never come here. I suppose it'll sell a few more papers.
chaddyrovers Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Rory Smith@RorySmithTimes2m Blackburn's season on brink of descending into anarchy. Well, more anarchy. Derek Shaw likely to follow Appleton out: http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/football/footballleague/article3717296.ece …

Wendal Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Leaving Shebby and Agnew to run this club says it all about Venkys and their 'judgement'. We will continue to stagger from one disaster to another until Venkys decide to cut us loose.
perthblue02 Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Wow surprised at the Shaw rumour unless his tag team partner as sold him out to save his own skin. Could it possibly be to do with the Appleton appointment.?
adsfortheblues Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Robbie Savage comments about Rovers sacking of Appleton and how it was done http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01r992k/5_live_Drive_19_03_2013/ 1 hour and 18 mins for Savage comments. he said the owners and board members are too blamed. need to give Appleton time and a full pre-season Ha, yes it was only 2 weeks ago he was saying Appleton was a bad appointment. Contradicts himself every week that fella, one of the worst football pundits around, up there with Townsend.
Kei Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 There is one survivor through each managerial appointment and sacking. Agnew- If there is to be a resuming of protests, there needs to be almost as much focus on him as Venkys.
Fife Rover Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Wow surprised at the Shaw rumour unless his tag team partner as sold him out to save his own skin. Could it possibly be to do with the Appleton appointment.? More to do with Sebby's revenge! Shaw and Agnew persuaded Mrs Desai to let them pick the manager rather than Shebby, and Shaw chose Appleton.
Backroom DE. Posted March 19, 2013 Backroom Posted March 19, 2013 Rafa Benitez to Rovers next manager http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/next-blackburn-manager-rafa-benitez-1773740 One of the most ridiculous articles I've ever read. What a dope.
RoyRover Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 I could easily say that we are a circus, that the club is in freefall, the owners are clueless and that we have imbiciles running the club and not so long ago I would have written all that, it would be true and it would have been an effective venting mechanism. However, I'm just resigned to this sort of stuff happening now. The people running the club should be ashamed of themselves. But when they are earning big money for doing sweet f.a, I don't think that thought even crosses their mind. Shebby had his way with Kean and hiring Berg, then Shaw got his man in with Appleton now, so now it's Shebby's turn again. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if that's how Venky's are trying to keep both parties happy with a merry-go-round of whose turn is it now to hire a manager. Whether you agreed with Appleton's appointment or not, or agree with his sacking or not, it's just another act of a group of people who have swanned in and taken charge based on the fact that they have a lot money and that makes Rovers fans sink deeper into a blacker hole of dispair. When Appleton came in, I wasn't overly thrilled with the appointment, mainly because we were doing well for the first time in a long time under Bowyer and I didn't think that he was the correct man for the job. However, I was happy to hear him making the right noises about getting the club in order, dumping the deadwood who had been draining the team and not having to answer to Shebby Singh. The team didn't start too badly with him in charge and it seemed like we had finally sorted out our problems at the back. But results have taken a turn for the worse and we now find ourselves in a relegation battle. Some people will be in favour of him going, others won't, but the fact that we are making a decision like this at all just speaks to the very real peril we are in. The emotion I used to feel was utter hatred toward these people who have butchered our once proud club, but now all I feel is shameful apathy.
RevidgeBlue Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Revidge Blue wanted Appleton out after zero games. I pointed out after three or four games that at best Appleton's game plan consisted of trying to keep a clean sheet and hoping Rhodes could snap up a half chance.I also pointed out it was awful to watch and predicted the good results could not last like that and that we'd see a slow painful slide towards the lower reaches of the table in the latter part of the season. Unfortunately I was proved correct. I must admit even I didn't realise how bad things would get or how close we'd slip to the relegation zone. But it wasn't just the bare results, it was the overall picture. If we were playing extremely well but not quite getting results or he'd been bringing in some brilliant players then at least there'd be something to hang our hat on and justify giving him longer over the close season and into next season. But there was nothing.
