Can't believe some people are turning their noses up at the likes of O'Neill and Schuster. The only hope we have of landing an experienced manager is if they are damaged goods and their stock is low, and they are desperate enough to want to work for Venkys. (Knowing they might have to fight for a pay-off).

It's a moot point anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with Graham Westley.

Rip my right arm off for Schuster, He's an attacking tactic mastermind.

He's like a German Ian Holloway tactic wise which is probably the best way too put it.

Crying out for a Barton type player too, been saying this for years. Proper scrapper on the pitch and not just literally.

Westley is a bit mental isn't he? Perfect fit if so!

.

I'd be looking at Phil Parkinson, perhaps? Pedigree at this level and could be looking to leave Bradford if they don't get promoted?

Goodish shout. done very good job at Bradford

Nothing to back it up but just got a feeling Karl Robinson will get it

I starting to get that feeling. think we will end up with him. Need to remember this supposly that Balaji is a fan of him. watch this space I guess

Westley has gone back to Stevenge on Friday.

O'Neill would be good but very much doubt he would come to rovers.

Schuster would be good but will he understand what Championship football is. Sven, Berg and Solbakken all struggle in the championship.

still think Bowyer will be incharge till end of the season.

then we will appoint the next manager in the summer.

Daglish(or keegan) as manager until the end of the season with the sole objective of keeping us up, It has to be somebody that's universally respected from day 1 by all players(young/old, foreign/domestic) and they must be great motivators as they can only work with what we have got.

though realistically, I don't expect a new manager to arrive anytime soon(that saga/charade is going to be kept for the summer)

Schuster must really be hard up to want this job.

Still, an ex-Real Madrid manager is some improvement on from Chris Coleman's drinking buddy, his Norwegian lookalike, and a bin man from Salford.

I'm still amazed he'd be interested. Maybe it is a bit like when you're playing Football Manager, and you win a couple of European Cups with say, Man Utd and then fancy having a stab at seeing if you can use your fame and reputationto do well at Southend.

I doubt he would have. Whilst he seems to have an affinity with the fans and the club, if he got on with Schuster, he'd probably be saying, "Don't work for Venky's, they're right dipsh_ts."

Maybe he's been out of work for a bit and fancied taking on such a big challenge to advertise his skills to another top division club. That's the only reason I can see why he's keep putting his name forward.

He'll never get the job though.

Wasn't that just the Gary Megson april fools story...

Be careful what you wish for !!!!!!

does Shebby/Venkys even know who Megson is???

They might think he's 'Red' Adair !

You're not touting Coyle any more then?

Still think he is in pole position but rumour is that Megson has come from nowhere !

IMO, you can forget McLaren, Schuster etc and be prepared to be underwhelmed, again.

I said panic would set in if we lost on Monday and I think it has.

Venkys/Shebby/Shaw/agnew are to blame for poor decisions in appointed two manager that shouldnt have been.

If Holloway or McCarthy were appoint we would be at least top 10.

I cant stand Holloway personally, always too much to say for me but Recongise he would have been a good choice for us.

we need experience both times and we didnt get that.

wasted at least 6 mil on managers and backroom staff in sacking them.

We just need a manager. We've not had a real manager since we lost Big Sam. It's one thing to have the job title, but it's another to actually know what you're doing. O'Neill, Schuster. They're managers. Megson, Coyle and McLaren. All BAD managers with blips of success. Robinson and the other young names touted. They aren't managers yet. They need to prove themselves. Blackburn Rovers is a big club for this league, we have a history that most clubs crave achieving and may never manage to. We should most certainly be aiming for proper proven managers no matter how low our stock has fallen otherwise that stock may never rise again until one of these test monkeys becomes a real manager and we can't wait for that with our Championship status now under threat.

Doing my best !

Hey listen - the more incredulous the stuff you hear then the more likely it is to be true with Pune & Shebby !

You do have a point there Mercerman! What odds that Shebby saw that April Fool's article and thought "Hey, hang on a minute....."?

But seriously, you are pulling all these 'rumours' from your arse, right?

If that's what you think then fine.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't !

You tell me - why did LT run a full page back page on Coyle last week ?
