I've just been re-watching the tribute to Uncle Jack. Seeing Robert Coar gush about what Jack did for Rovers just makes me feel so angry now.

He has been sitting there watching this travesty unfold from day ONE, taking a nice salary from the club and keeping his mouth firmly shut while Ewood and Jack's legacy burns.

The man is a disgrace.

I hope he accidently hangs himself with his FA tie in a freak event. Total non-entity, a jellyfish a faceless blazer that is the scourge of our sporting authorities. His only interest is to swan around the FA and go on jollies to World Cups etc.

Which begs the question has the Action Group in its dealing with the football authorities raised the fact that an FA Board member has been directly involved in the cluster @#/? that has been Venky's ownership, or is this shytehouse part of the reason no action has been taken while the club is right royally shafted by these crooks!

A lot of assumption here. How do we know he hasn't tried to advise the owners and been completely ignored, as per and sidelined from the inner sanctum? How do we know he isn't using his FA contacts behind the scenes to expose the owners? We don't! But let's not string the guy up without a fair trial. The guy's been at this club for a long time now and was well respected by Uncle Jack.

And, honestly, what good would it do him or the club to come out and publicly rebuke the owners?

You've also got to ask why he has said diddly squat about anything to anyone for 2.5 years and why is he still insitu when so many have departed?

Is he complicit?

In which case you might ask what has he said in the last 25 years? Constantly looking for people to blame takes us nowhere.

The people to blame for this are the Raos.

In terms of speaking out and telling the world what is happening we have been sold down the river by people like John Williams and Tom Finn who would have been bought off for their silence. Coar is protecting what he has, a nice padded seat in the directors box and a place on some FA committee. When the music stops he will almost certainly be left without a chair.

The fans have been on their own for some time now as the only people who care about the club. When the Indians finally ship out of Blackburn there will hopefully still be a football club of which we can be proud of again.

Could be that Rob Coar is just keeping his head down and his powder dry. He cannot influence this shower and he is not wealthy enough to buy into the club in his own right but with his experience and contacts he'd be very useful to any new owners .... or even prospective new owners I'd suggest.

GAV made a similar comment to this the other day.

I do feel people like Williams/Finn/Goodman are men of integrity who wouldn't have agreed to a pay off if there was anything afoot at Ewood beyond mere incompetence.

If there was anything more serious than that that needed reporting either to the football or wider authorities, I'm sure they wouldn't have agreed to confidentiality clauses etc.

As for Rob Coar personally I'm not a fan and to me he's only at the Club for what he can get out of it, i.e. his seat on the FA Board and I think it's a matter of public record that his Company made a small fortune (quite legitimately) for work carried out in the construction of the new Ewood.

That profit may have had something to do with allegedly using less steel in the construction than was in the original architects plans. Steel which they got cheap from Walker Steel then sold on for a nice profit.

Now architect's usually over engineer so not saying they did not make the stadium structurally sound but that is how they managed to make money out of the deal.

Edit: just to clarify architects plans do change during construction & nothing illegal occurred.

source: a friend in the construction industry who has dealt with Mr coar & used to buy direct from Jack Walker.

Coar is a none paid executive at Rovers and has recently emailed a friend to

say Venky's still have no Idea about football and do not know how to run a

business in England. ( there's a suprise)

He has such a cushy set up with the FA, going to the FA cup final ect, that

he does not want to upset this nice little side line by coming out against

Venky's

As you've said Gord, he maybe useful to any new owners, but that does not

excuse him IMO for keeping quite, the time has long past for people to stay stum!

Thanks for the info f-o-g. If this is the Coar approach to life then I doubt he will be of much value to any new owner. Sounds like the sork of bloke we do not want.

Anyone who has sat on Rovers' Board during the last 2 1/2 years has a lot to answer for and should be ashamed of themselves. Massive dereliction of duty to allow this to happen and still be sat there taking the pay cheques.

100% correct.

People at the club 'ITK' as to what is really going on but choose to say nothing while the club burns and just take the remuneration...awful.

So why did Jack Walker retain him as Chairman? Jack rewarded loyalty not deceit.

He has no power over the Venky's, and no authority at Ewood Park anymore so what can he do other than gob off to no purpose and lose his position for no purpose?
