Rover_Shaun Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 22:43 BaWA @reluctantnicko: @Batman1966BRFC Bowyer is supposed to have it for rest of season. Currently under review. Along with Berg issue. Silk has quit. I guess we'll find out soon either way. Cheers Stuart. It's like being at work. They take weeks to make simple decisions too. Good old Nicko. He has all the nickoteens hanging on impatetiently for his mirror article, after throwing them a cryptic mackrel, only for it to be damp squib #45867 Like nobody had thought that they may panic big time and go for an experienced (re: desperate) stopgap manager until the end of the season

Stuart Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Lynsey is Fans Liason Officer. One of the good guys down at Ewood. Very much so.
chaddyrovers Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 According to the LT, that Paul Agnew recommend to the owners that Gary Bowyer went with him and Shaw. wonder if that is talk to the owners about the mess created by hiring and sacking managers this season. plus how low the players morale is.
broadsword Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Or Agnew just wants someone to throw under the bus.

Well if that's the case, I reckon Shagnew are just using Bowyer as a pawn in the battle with Singh. If they had anything about them they would realise that Bowyer is needed at Brockhall this week more than any other.Self serving parasites.
Blue blood Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 None of Rovers senoir management come out of this utterly clueless. Not sure anyone would buy Lynsey as to blame for our pligt. In fact how by chance Venkeys has not thought the only constents this season - Agnew and Singh- are in no way culperable is beyond belief. It's obvious to anyone, especially anyone with a knowlege of business - let alone football. As for Bowyer going - why? He needs time to prepare the team. Seems like we're intentionally doing all we can to get relegated. If Agnew took him over than the snake is even lower than I thought which is going some. Surely this episode once again encapsulates how deeply we're in it. Clueless doesn't begin to decribe how the club is run.
G Somerset Rover Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Agreed, if it is indeed Agnew that has dragged Bowyer there then he's causing even more havoc than we've been made aware of. Imperative that Bowyer was at Brockhall this week of all week's. Whatever the circumstances.
thenodrog Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Thanks, we'll effing need it! Dougie Freedman has turned into a pretty good appointment. Did well at Palace, and after a slow start has Bolton going. Amazing to think Berg was appointed around the same time (I think, I've lost track of who was in charge when). If Freedman had come here instead they'd have sacked him inside the month for that slow start.
thenodrog Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Coyle or Ali come and I'm finished . Abbey if we think this through then surely if Coyle were in the frame Nixon would have named him in then Mirror in order to give the Slumdogs a shove in his direction. Rem Nicko is so far up Coyle's arse he can see daylight.
McClarky Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 The only thing we can be sure about is that this isn't going to be good news, it never is. Why they are bothering making changes to the Finance Director, the office manager or the tea lady when we are in the middle of the biggest playing crisis probably ever who can tell but this kind of thing can only have a negative effect.
CapeTownRover Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 okay, so Agnew apparently strikes again. If Venkys didnt want Bowyer there, but Agnew said bring him along, then we know exactly what is going on here. In fact, there is absolutely no reason why GB needs to be there. He didnt cause this mess, those in charge of running the club on behalf of Venkys ie Shagnew and Singh need to take respsponsibility for this. Now GB seems like he will have to explain why things have gone wrong, or he will be held accountable, or he will be told that he will not continue as manager. This bunch of people are absolutely stupid to let people like Shagnew and Singh advise them, and allow them to continue doing so, while see the club sink to the bottom, and yet, every single manager has had to bare the brunt of their stupidity. However, the 3 stooges continue to mess the club about with no idea of how to run it
Mercer Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 You had her down for the CEO a couple of days ago. Her balls obviously aren't as big as you thought! What a psychotically dysfunctional club we've become. If Shagnew go then yes I think she will become CEO. As for 'her balls', that wasn't my metaphor, although it was rather good. Senior Finance guys, and gals, are extremely flexible, however, there is 'white line' that 90% wont cross. Karen Silk might just have reached that line.
Mercer Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 CEO despite quitting? Let's survey the wreckage when the dust has settled ! Should be mid afternoon in India. Expect some sort of announcement within the next 2 to 3 hours.

broadsword Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Will be interesting to find out when Bowyer flies back. If it's a summary dismissal, then who takes over? McPhillips for now ... the way they bodge things it'll be the new season by teh time they have a new man in. The point of a caretaker is to stay there until you get the man you want. You can't really sack a caretaker for under-performing. If it's an inquest then that will take all of today and maybe a good part of tomorrow. If so, he flies back Thursday morning and just has Friday with the team before the big game against Derby, they'll perhaps get Sunday off or just recovery that day, light training monday then rest before Tuesday's big game against Huddersfield. Two games that have an enormous bearing on the long term future of this club and they take the manager away from us for more or less all the time he's needed. Idiocy of the highest order.

Think I read somewhere that he's back for training in time for Wednesday, however, Wednesday is usually 'the lads' day off' !
USABlue Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Think I read somewhere that he's back for training in time for Wednesday, however, Wednesday is usually 'the lads' day off' ! And here's me been thinking Saturday was their day off

CapeTownRover Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 we play on a Saturday USABlue? one would never say hey
Rover_Shaun Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 On their return "We had a good and frank discussion and we all know what is needed to get the club out of this position" Sat 4:50pm Blackburn lose to Derby Tues 9.35pm Blackburn lose to Huddersfield
bigbrandjohn Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 One question they would all agree on if the W$nkys asked them. Gentlemen, do you believe we should sell the club ?
arealbrfcfan Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Regardless whether he misses training or not, it's disrupting the club shipping him off to India at a crucial time. I feel for GB, he'll be probably in the firing line and thats not fair.
Gav Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Bbc radio lancs r saying that GB is back this afternoon. the players do trained on wednesday and dont get it off as reported Please say it isn't so Chaddy, mercers got money on it......
